I think it's a cute outfit π
Is it corporate or sales? Depends on the position, the skirt is a tad short in my opinion...
Generally knee length or just above knee is ideal but I don't really have any expertise lol
The shoes are awesome tho

That's a really cute outfit... but is your interviewer a man or woman?

It feels like I'm going for brunch, but I don't have another β urghhh
And thanks!

I had a phone interview earlier this afternoon and they set me up to come in tomorrow morning but it's 1am and I'm realizing I don't really have anything to wear? ?Is this ok?
It's admin. assist. for a realty development agency.
It's been a while. Interview outfits always give me fucking anxiety.
Also, let's ignore the tan lines and chair standing LOL
You look really good in that outfit. Super cute but a bit short. Perhaps black stockings and black heels? Have those?

A man. I didn't think about the relevancy in that, but I'm all for an added anxiety right now, is this worse off? lol
Well if I was a man, I'll hire you π..but if it was a woman, I'd probably be a little more conservative.. Higher neckline and longer skirt.
I agree that stockings would elevate the outfit to corporate boss woman. Good luck in everything! You GOT THIS! β?

It's much better from what I hear. Senior women supervisors apparently get competitive out of nowhere and offer you unsolicited advice on dress sense. Then tell you, you don't have the job.

I once didn't get hired because I was wearing a long skirt with pleats on the front and a belt around the waist. The interviewer all but told me he thought I was too prissy for the food service job I was applying for. Dress code is extremely tricky, and dare I say, much more so for women. ?
I would personally wear an undershirt or a camisole or something. The shirt is a little low and your buttons seem to not be laying flat. As for the skirt, a little short, but maybe something you can wear after first impressions are all done and over with.
I wish I were a dude so that dressing up would be easier and the lines less blurry. : /
Why don't you try pants?

i was wondering why no one even mentioned the buttons. It was the 1st thing i noticed. sorry OP π’
as a large chested woman it's something i deal with with button downs. a trick i learned, saftey pin on the inside but only through the lower layer so you can't see the metal and usually will pull the panels together and flat.
You need to pick a different top or layer like Scenic suggested to ease the strain on them. Skirt seems fine but might be a tad short for a professional office, maybe after you get hired and find out dress code.

Im looking for my heels which are probably still packed somewhere. Just moved. fml lol
How about something like this.

Or perhaps a shift dress??

Don't be sorry I need y'all all my friends are asleep right now haha.
And I was wearing a cami *tear*
Working on it now
Yeah skirt too short girl. Good luck though.
You can't wear heels like that either. Wat.
I was looking more at the outfit not the heel π.
Perhaps also @Silvuh.. try to stick to a neutral colour for nail polish, some work environment really frowns on that sort of thing.
Lol
Sorry lady was looking at the whole pic.

What about a standard black dress and add pops of color with accessories? Simple sometimes can be more of a statement. It's classic and gives good impressions.
Just make sure not too short.

Oh wow. Yeah we're critiqued. Im also usually the youngest employed in these positions. Hard to find a balance between dressing my age and not looking too... flashy? If that makes sense.

You mean flats?

I don't own anything remotely close to this haha
Come over I'll lend you one π
Alright guys this is the end of the rope. I couldn't not find my black Mary Janes and my arms are tired π’
So it's either A in the OP, or this one:

I think A cause these shoes are a fuck up. I'll try to find a better way to tame the girls if so, but I'll just do the usual horn tooting, interview etiquette, and hope for the best.
And yeah I'm changing my nail color haha

Come over I'll lend you one π
I wish ??
You're so nice and helpful, with taste! I bet you have the best fits haha
Looking good π. Good luck xx. Let us know how it goes.. we're all rooting for you .

Ya lose the cardigan.
Have you got a longer Cardi?
I don't think you look frumpy at all. Don't let us make you more anxious.. You're looking good .

Yes! That's the word. And I like the buckles on those shoes. They make the metal on the purse just.. Just meshes well lol. Hair down or up?

Ok no cardigan.
And I'm going with French braids and a low bun.
Kind of like this

But with a bun instead of whatever she's got going on back there lol
Most importantly GOOD LUCK π

It actually was a longer cardigan, but I tucked it in because it clashed with the flare of the skirt. And don't worry you guys are great! Although I am a lil worried about losing a button now ?
I'll probably make the final decision in the morning when I'm ready, ready haha

THANKS GUYS!! β?
Feels like having an entire lot of sisters the way you all helped haha
I'm going to bed now, I'll update you guys maΓ±ana!

Haha if the shoe fits then rock it but a phone interview and if theres no camera or skype but or in person interview nah homie there's specific interview clothes for each occasion and type of job. Haha.
I hate the shirt, its too tight and you dont look comfortable and relaxed, not to mention needs an iron..
The skirt is pleated and girly, not lady like or professional, not to mention you need stockings to pull it off becausr its too short and you have lovely legs to show off at your interview they dont need to be covered unless its cold.
Im not a fan of cardigans ever, theyre not blazers.
Lastly the shoes.....theyre flat and camel, it wouldnt hurt to wear something makes you taller.
The overall look is satisfactory, sorry for the harsh critique, was very fun to do.
I wear work boots and jeans to work so I'll be of no help to you.
Just don't forget the most important accessory, a smile. Good luck!
Super cute outfit, but might be a tad "sexy" for an interview. But I'm on the stuffy, frumpy East Coast, so it's regional.
actually your second one is perfect, but if it's hot af there like it is here, you're gonna be sweating buckets.
lol, ain't preparing for interviews FUN? :p
Shit sorry guys! Thanks for y'all's added input haha
It went really good!!
One receptionist who was already there was wearing boat shoes....grrr
It was like 11am so maybe she already had on her tired shoes lol
Anyway I got set up for a second interview, I'll be prepared LOL
And my interviewer was nice, I made him smile a lot and got "one of the best" typing averages so o don't think he cared about the buttons hahaha
God I fcking hate interviews, but this one was a little fun
And @TheLibraMudra, I ditched the sweater lol
