What and how much/little do you eat when you are depressed? I don't want to eat anything. Carrots are the only thing I don't have to force myself to eat. Weird, I know. What do you do to try to eat well when depressed?

Looking at triggers. Right now I need to feel safe with up coming surgery so I'm eating

I lost a lot of weight last time I thought I was "depressed."
I went from being a muscle built 135lbs to 110lbs.
Food lost its taste.
The happier I am the more I eat. Glad to report I'm a whopping 137lbs as of now. 😄 must mean I'm happy.

When I am emotionally hurting, it makes me feel sick to my stomach so eating doesn't occur to me.

I am finding taking vitamin supplements at the proper doses and combinations significantly reduce my symptoms and they keep your immune system vibrant. Daily walks, even as short as 15 minutes a day help. If I am out for an hour I feel even better.
Vitamins I take in the morning:
Vitamin D3, 1000UI for every 25 lbs of your own weight
Vitamin K2 (needed because the D vitamin will take the vitamin K from your body and most of us are D deficient and will notice it makes us drowsy without the K, even in the beginning so give yourself time to get used to it and the drowsiness will fade away. Don't be afraid of the drowsiness, it is just you being really relaxed like when you are out in the sun all day)
Vitamin B complex (helps reduce stress and gives you energy which offsets the drowsiness from the D)
Calcium
Magnesium (helps move deposit calcium in the right places, not your arteries where they calcify and harden)
When I am taking these every day my mood is stabilized and when I mess that routine up and stop taking them I notice my moodiness return within a few days. I started taking everything again today as something came up over the holidays that made my symptoms worse and so I just let my routine of walking and taking vitamins slip.
