The first night we met- we talked all night about everything- the one night stand developed into a relationship
We dated on and off for a long time. i find we are better friends. :-) He was a fun distraction

^^^same with the above but we're still together. we just work. i can't explain it. but i think the world of him and as so he. i am a goof and i am his my ball. but we fight a lot. a lot. everyday. but its not like the typical fights where we want the other to change or how the girl complains the other doesn't love them enough. its just games that causes our simple problem into a big one. but we both just have this innate ability to just get one another. In the heart of los angeles, its really hard as it is to find someone...that you equally admire. but now add in LOS angeles..where superficial, plastic barbies, douche bag men roam. i dont want to let him go and he doesn't want to let me go. we are wanderers..belonging to no one.. belong to no one specific box....but only our own world that we created..the box we created for ourselves.

Most people that do have long term relationships with Gemini's,, usually cant tell you why. Thats why its so special.

You mean a Gemini (esp the man) will be in a long term relationship with someone 'just because'?

not just because...because they love the other person that simple. if they don't they move on...and its that simple nothing more and nothing less. Gemini men DONT need to be in relationships. the fact they stick with that one person states how much he Diggs that girl to forget the fun single life..that girl can replace all that. if she isn't then he can move on as easily its not that shocking the way they live. its very balanced.

Yes I am not really asking anything, because I would just like to hear people's experiences when they are dating a Gemini. How they are in a relationship, and even further, what kind of girl that can make them settle down. I love to analyze people and situation, and see trends within a relationship. My first post there is my actual question, which you and Pikachu81 have answered and I very much appreciate it.

That question "so what kind of woman can a Gemini man settle down with", is directed towards everyone (including you) in response to your post. I understand when you said you and your Gemini just "get it". but there has to be some more explanation to that right. Which personality that can fit to a Gemini and which doesn't. Even pheromones and chemistry have a logical explanation lol.

So bottomline is, I want to get to know more about Geminis and their behavior in love. Why? Because I am also dating a Gemini and it's just nice to hear others' experiences.

I don't know, but the Gemini Moons that I know are ridiculous. Very mixed in their emotions, and their signals.

They detach quickly, and the two that I know, have no problem saying and doing whatever makes sense to them, regardless of their feelings for others.

Hey, we are not all that bad (Gemini moon here). 😛 But yea I can imagine people say that I am detached... except for my boyfriend since I latch on him like fat kid to peanut butter! (kidding 😛) But yeah I change my mind a lot, and it's just not my personality to stick into one friend all the time (that reminds me, I just complained in Sag board about them being too detached lol), I guess that will be very confusing for some people of whether I care about them as friends or not.

Ya this sounds so familiar, this is what BF gave me when I asked him about what he sees in me. What makes me confused was that he dated an insecure, painfully shy girl before (she has been abused in the past). They ended up breaking up (obviously) but I sometimes wonder how he comes to date her.

Interestingly, I know a gemini gentleman who has been married to the town bike (it's a big town) for over 20 years. Couple of years ago I heard her propositioning a guy who had been best man at their wedding!!! I nearly fell over!!
I mean, I have seen her in action, I know what she is like (she once rooted a guy - not her husband - in front of me at a party), but the best man!! How low is that? He declined.

Obviously I am not saying all Gemini guys would put up with this crap. And maybe she is just a really good root.

I don't know, perhaps this girl is the extreme case of an independent and strong girl? I mean technically, one will have to be independent and strong in order to do this kind of thing right. You wouldn't see a shy girl rooting a guy in a party. I guess that quality of her being able to stand for herself was what attracted him to her? I don't know.

Of course a perfect person does not exist, but some people want some qualities in a certain people and it's not the same as looking for a perfect prince charming. It's just a preference. You are saying that the person he looks (which Westside describes) does not exist, perhaps that's true but I'm sure out there there is a lot of independent woman out there which probably fits 80% or at least 75% of the description. A shy girl meanwhile, only fits about 10% of his description.

Like you, if you want to find all those qualities in one man of course you can't. But there might be a guy out there that has most (not all) of the qualities you seek (perhaps it's your boyfriend).

I don't know, I guess I think about all this dating scheme too much. I should relax and stop analyzing everything lol.

You know honestly I do not think it is fair to judge and point fingers at people merely based on your perception. Especially only when what you see is just a bunch of texts. Look, have I ever:

2) Saying bad things about you or your relationship?

😄 I know! Look I bear no ill will towards you, let's just call it a truce k? 😉

I do have several Gems in my life, and I am dating one. Thing is he is not like the usual Gemini, he is even different than yours. That's part of the reason why I am here asking question to people, I want to (lol) 'compare' those Gems. My Gem is not a lavish spender at all, and in the contrary of people's saying about Gemini (how they cannot commit, etc), he is very faithful to me. Yes he flirts here and there if it benefits him, but I've learned to close my eyes to that. He can do it as long as I'm not around, or as long as I enjoy the benefit too lol! (like flirting with our realtor, food vendors, etc). But he is definitely a committed guy who is ready to settle down. Honestly I am surprised to find that in a Gemini.

But yea I'm also starting to believe that this zodiac thing is a bunch of crap lol (I know I know people will now throw stones at me for saying that, but I can't help it 😛).

I am a Gemini woman so I don't know how much is the same for the men. My biggest problem is that while I fall for someone and I do want to be committed, I get restless after a little while. I need my own personal space and I can't stand it when someone wants to know every stinking thing. If I am reading something online for instance, don't ask me what I am reading or stand and read over my shoulder. Yeah I do like to talk but I don't like being questioned.

The best way for me to maintain a committed relationship is if my guy has his own life going on and let's me go when I need a break. If he does that, I come back recharged and thankful. If he makes a big freak out over me needing space and movement then I still go, I just don't come back.

@ candi3bb, All I can say is wow! Seriously uncanny. I have been on & off with a Gemini guy & the relationship is a rollercoaster! Funny you should mention that when being with one you never know what you're going to get from day to day & to live in the moment because I can go from seeing & hearing from him constantly to nothing at all, and then here he comes again full throttle. He doesn't ever go away completely...he always comes back 😉. And get this...we met last year on Halloween too! Isn't that some shit though? It's been a spooky love affair ever since. 😛

My ex of long ago was Gemini and..at that time we would address each other as soul mates. We talked about everything, he's very smart and loves studying. We accompany each other at Uni, during classes or finals. We were compatible and got along very well.

And back in 2010, I had a short relationship with a Gemini guy as well. He was on the rebound.It was intense, sweet and romantic. But then, things happen and the relationship ended.

Hell, I notice them! I used to think the disappearing acts was because he wasn't that interested, but he finds his way back home. 🙂 It pisses me off sometimes but It's always a nice time when we are together & I treasure it, plus I really have feelings for him, so that helps. We don't fight often but he tests me alot (damn cancer moon) & sometimes I get a straight up F, but i've grown to realize what he's doing so I just ignore it now.

@ candi3bb, All I can say is wow! Seriously uncanny. I have been on & off with a Gemini guy & the relationship is a rollercoaster! Funny you should mention that when being with one you never know what you're going to get from day to day & to live in the moment because I can go from seeing & hearing from him constantly to nothing at all, and then here he comes again full throttle. He doesn't ever go away completely...he always comes back 😉. And get this...we met last year on Halloween too! Isn't that some shit though? It's been a spooky love affair ever since. 😛

Hell, I notice them! I used to think the disappearing acts was because he wasn't that interested, but he finds his way back home. 🙂 It pisses me off sometimes but It's always a nice time when we are together & I treasure it, plus I really have feelings for him, so that helps. We don't fight often but he tests me alot (damn cancer moon) & sometimes I get a straight up F, but i've grown to realize what he's doing so I just ignore it now.

Yeah those tricks are a mofo but the treats? *naughty grin* unfortunately we are OFF now so IDK if I will be doing anything with him on Halloween 😢 but something tells me he's going to surprise me...If so I'll be little red riding hood, and he can be the wolf so that he can eat up all of my goodies! Tehehehehe!

i think it would be nice to still do something nice for him...a big suprise...like im planning a dress-up (e.g. zombies) and sky diving...when i take off the blindfold he'll see the document "we are not responsilbe for your death" no pun intended of course 🙂

I used to have an issue with this. I used to be insecure and demanding during our first year of relationship, he's a little bit older than me so he has longer dating history than me. That kind of bugs me in the beginning and I did the exact thing you said not to do lol.

Honestly, I don't know why he wanted to put up with my antics and tried his best to make me secure, sticking up with me even though I did the thing that he disliked the most. That until now is still a mystery to me. But as the time flies I trust him much more and now it doesn't bother me as much when he jokes around with other girls.

I'm a Leo with heavy Cancer influence so I guess that kind of contributes to my earlier insecurity and trust issue.

About Gemini men's disappearance acts, funnily I never experienced that. Well I guess I kinda did when we started seeing each other, but after we're in a relationship my Gem is sorta always with me 24/7 lol. He is the one that's always frustrated when I don't pick up calls (didn't do it in purpose) or fail to let him know in advance that I'm going to a happy hour, etc.

Emotionally though, it is not really like that. What I mean is, that even though he's physically with me 24/7, we always do our own stuff. Personally I believe that this is what he really likes from me, that I have my own life and not make him my world. My Gemini always said that he likes my independence and the fact that I could do my own stuff and have my own opinion about things. I am also a very ambitious person and I think he likes it that I am more like his equal career wise rather than a submitting house-wife type.

Wow skydiving, I bet your Gem will thrive on that idea. They seem to like extreme sports lol. At least mine does. :p

You're right I haven't, I guess that makes some people think that I have a hidden agenda or 'baiting' for something lol. I guess I should have started with mine first before asking others'. I think my previous posts tell some about my relationship already but to sum it up, I have been dating this Gemini man for a while now, next month will be our 3rd anniversary. As I mentioned before my boyfriend is an uncommon type of twin, he is very mature and responsible, he has told me since a while ago that he is ready to settle down and would want us to make that commitment with each other.

Our relationship has been fairly smooth I should say, we do have problem but our fight never even last more than one day. As I mentioned it used to be rougher due to my insecurity but we have worked on that and now I very much trust him. We are both very driven, career oriented type of person and as I said that's probably what attracts him to me. I often joke that one day I will surpass his salary (I don't think that would happen lol but I just like to tease him) and he likes the sense of competition he gets from me.

Sometimes I am moody but he can be moody too but that doesn't usually last long and soon it'll be all sunshine again lol. I think our biggest issue right now is because both of us are headstrong (he has Leo moon and rising, I have Leo Sun and Mars, Gemini Moon, Libra Rising) and sometimes our fight can be explosive. But bottomline is we both want to make this relationship work and have learned to compromise. Giving space to each other is also important, usually he wants to be home with me but sometimes he wants to hang out with his buddies and I think it's good for him. I think it's all about balance.

Tehehehehehe 😛 I know I'm a pisser...lol. Yeah, I mean, I guess the song "keeps you guessing" but he did say love em' & I assume he's sexing them because he does mention that when he does fall for someone he gets in the car and roams around again so I doubt if he was talking about truly loving them, but rooting them. And is it really truth to that shit? That some gems fall in love & treat the person cold? Hell, I thought that was lack of interest or them being unemotional. Was married to one for 6 yrs. He was very romantic in courtship and made me believe I was his soul mate. Has big dreams and goals. He was and still is horrible with money. Never happy with his many different jobs. So he became self employed and is struggling with money more than ever. He talks about being financialy free and spending all kinds of time with his family. But now I realize that he is a restless soul and even when he reaches his goals, will never be able to just relax. Starting to think that he uncontiously self sabotages his goals, so that the chase will never end.

How did he act when you first started dating L2D? I met a Gem that lives about 1.5-2 hours away...it has been quite casual/comfortable really. We text usually once a day to say hello or send something funny that popped up, there are times we will go a day or 2 then he or I will either shoot out a greeting, it's pretty much 50/50. We had our first date 2.5 weeks ago and I will be heading back down there in a few days. It went very well...there was a very high level of comfort/click there between us with our first date (which he is the one that brought up that he feels like he's known me much longer than we actually do mid-way through our first date. He also was as bold to state that I really needn't look any further because I found my guy, but he said this in a funny/serious type way).
This is my first relationship interaction with a Gem out of family so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to. But after reading a bit it seems as though they like their space/freedom and don't like to be pressured or limited which I have no problem doing and have been doing...but I do wonder what's going through his Gem mind at this point. He seems very interested when we do chat but like I have said it's been very casual up to this point, which is understandable I guess seeing we are so new. And surely the fact he has kept in contact and wants a second date is a good sign 😉
