How many phone calls or texts is the limit before some realizes they’ve been ghosted?

Are there any other ways people think they’ve been ghosted?

I leave two messages and if they go unanswered after a week = 👻.

I try to kindly ghost people. Slowing down a conversation to the point of small talk is a perfect way to end a conversation and not look like a dick. Then you just look boring and uninteresting, and they will feel like they made the decision to end the conversation, even though you did.

Probably an unpopular opinion here, but I would only consider it ghosting if you actually have a relationship with the person, be it friendship or romantic thing etc.

Someone can't ghost you after one or 2 hangs. There's nothing there. And they don't owe you any explanation.

Oh lol it doesnt take me long. If I call ya and you dont answer and never call or text back then I pretty much got the answer I need. Im just not the type to call back again after you didnt answer yesterday. So for me thats what it takes for me to at least back off. I know that thats probably not the best route to some but O just find that my personal peace is better when I let go after common sense shows me things

I don't think its a behavior.

Some people are not great at being in contact. But when you meet them ...its like old times.

Also I don't think when you give signs you want to move one ..like slowing a conversation down etc ...that is ghosting persay ..

Ghosting is when you led someone to believe they liked you ..and then without warning ..nothing they disappear....and most importantly ...they haunt you in some way.

This makes sense to me too. I am bad at keeping up contact but will pick up where I left off if someone contacts me.

So are you saying ghosting is closely related to love bombing? 🤔

Not so much how many calls or texts, but how much time has gone by without a response. I only call once and leave one message. You don't get back to me I'm not sending another.

I prefer to call because text messages have gone missing in transit in the past. I recall once my partner did respond to a text I sent and I thought he hadn't, but he showed me his phone and low and behold the message he sent was there (date and time stamped) on his phone and not mine.
