H. pylori?
Omg yeah that!!!
Yeeah, that's not quite food poisoning.
Pain killers on an empty stomach?? Coz I did that many times before. Also on that day the pain started... along with having food much later in the evening.

As far as natural remedies go, you probably should let the docs figure out what the cause is before you try anything "natural."

...and ffs run it past them first before you do anything. You're in a place where you could have some lifelong issues if you don't get your shit together and start making smarter decisions with this stuff.

I thought so too. It must have been something that happened over the course of time. Yeah right. I'll go with the doctors.

Quick Googling told me that much. Use that interwebs to help you learn as you go along. The more informed you are, the more you protect yourself, especially from the docs who are dipshits. The best thing with health is arming yourself with CORRECT information. Not blogs, not naturopaths who believe in ancient medicine and shit. Hard, scientific data with the facts to back it up.

A good doc will be down to dabble in a bit of both, tbh. They're the ones fully aware of all the science involved, but also informed about more natural remedies that have been solidly proven to help as well.

You're in limbo at the moment because they're still figuring ish out and trying to get a hold on it to see what helps. GI issues are some of the worst to figure out, from what I've heard. I hear way more horror stories and mystery illnesses with GI issues than most.

Most folks have h pylori floating around in there gut and have no issues.

You likely had an infection else where that took a small toll on your immune system, and those little buggers took advantage to wreak havoc on your stomach.

Uhh the immune system. Mine has always been weak. That might be it.

Yeah I will. I was kinda feeling safe coz my sister has been monitoring this stuff. So I didn't feel the need to be too cautious. It is kinda getting weird tho. I started getting fevers now. I dunno if it's coz of the medication overdose or something. I'm going to a different n apparently "more experienced" doctor today. Will see what he has to say.

I'm cured.

My issue... swallowing air. I stopped drinking through straws.

Other issue... high fiber, acidic foods... particularly too much raw veggies. Kinda ended after my 2nd pregnancy.

Every now and then, I'm so enraged though... but, I think that's normal.

It's the saying for being extremely angry.... "I'm shitt'n." I think it's a colloquial saying.

Tbh, that's exactly what it's starting to sound like dear. You need a differing opinion than hers, tbh. Her medicating you could likely be part of the problem here. Talk about some serious conflict going on. This is why they say family should never treat family.

Let the specialists decide. They know a hell of a lot more about this stuff than she does. Unless she did some dabbling while in med school, GPs are just some run of the mill stuff. The specialists are where it's at. My mom had the runaround on her diagnosis for 3-4 months and it took someone referring her to a specialist, who then referred her to a specialized specialist in order to get her a proper diagnosis. He was fucking magical, I tell you.

A lot of people don't seem to realize how vast medicine is. There is still so much being learned and studied and people assume all docs contain the knowledge of everything under the sun in medicine when that isn't the case.

Meftal spas

There are just sooo many?

....why do they have you taking painkillers known for causing stomach problems—

I'm not versed with all medications by any means, but you'd think that when one is having stomach issues, you avoid giving them painkillers known for fucking up the GI tract and liver. :/

I don't know Rocky!! But few of them have also been prescribed by my sister before I actually visited a gastroenterologist.
....

Was the ultracet prescribed by her?

...does your current doc know about all the meds she was prescribing you?
No...she didn't prescribe ultracet. She prescribed pan D, bauscho pan, metrogyl, cyclopam n sucralfate
Is she a general practitioner or does she specialize?

A general. She's now doing specialization in dermatology.

Right. I did consider going for naturopathy or homeopathy after I've seen this not working for this long. But maybe I just need a better doctor. When I asked too many questions, this doctor told me that he's a second topper with his specialization in the country n that I've no reason to not trust him ?

He shouldn't be offended by all your questions. GOOD docs will encourage tons of questions. Unless you're like "I don't believe you." Then you should probably stfu haha.

Lol! I sure didn't say that. I only asked about what's actually going on with me, why am I prescribed what I'm being prescribed n why there are so many of them. I said I'm allergic to certain pain killers n when he was suggesting me to have certain kinda food, I tried explaining why a different doctor asked me not to have it for different reasons. Also I said how the usual IV needles don't fit me coz my veins are narrow n how I don't want to be injected several times (coz it happens all the time.. I once have been injected 14-15times ..i dunno why it took them so long to figure it doesn't pass through) n told how they should use the smallest one possible. Maybe he got pissed?

@Teena, be careful with the overuse of anti biotics...although they can be good for killing infection, they damage the flora in the gut and cause an imbalance in the body

When i was having stomach problems, the docs didn't know why but the natural doc i see picked up straight away that it was candida (yeast overgrowth) and within a short space of time, my health had improved so much. There are great herbal remedies for any stomach related problems that can restore health

I will check them out for you. I so wish you lived nearer me, the practitioner i see is amazing. Since having sessions with him i am so much healthier and only get sick when i eat the wrong things....it is quite easy to read the body when you tune in. I also lost a lot of weight

Remember to take a probiotic if you still decide to take antibiotics or after the course....take them for two weeks

Get well soon

(((hugs)))

I understand there are too many of them Starshine. But I'm just using what I've been prescribed n I'm not liking it at all. I'm suffering from hypoglycemia just coz of the medicines. All the blacking out ,palpitations, postural hypertension, nausea, allergy..i'm not having it easy at all.The doctor I visited today prescribed different meds n said I should go for ultrasound along with endoscopy. I didn't know about probiotics or was prescribed them until recently. But the new doc took them off my list. He asked me to continue few of what I have already been taking n added 2 more. But no more probiotics.

Good that they were able to do the diagnosis quickly in your case. The practitioner sounds amazing. Good to know you've been healthy ever since.

That's the most important part I guess.. Diagnosis. Like I mentioned, I did consider naturopathy. But I'm kinda worried n confused to change to that atm. After the tests, probably it'll be clearer n they'll know exactly what to prescribe. Even the naturopathy docs should know what it is before they go about the treatment I guess.

Thanks Starshine ?. Any help is appreciated. Do let me know if you find anything about it?
