Gradually remove it from your diet. Decrease your intake day by day and it'll just naturally reset your tolerance. Eat dark chocolate that's got over 70% cocoa only.

Lol and no sugar.

Patience young scorpio. Quitting cold turkey never works.

lol there's no point eating 70% cacao with sugar might as well decrease whatever she's eating now and just add more water intake.

I was just mentioning something that worked for me.. I swapped out like cookies for real dark chocolate to satisfy my craving. Clearly the latter was a healthier alternative.

when i have the urge to eat a sweet and it's past my sweet quota for the day, I drink water instead...

this made my soul sad. I know you are right, but this addiction is so strong.

it's heartbreaking right 😢

I also do one more trick - I keep postponing eating the sweet until dinner, so I can eat less.

If i eat the sweet in the morning, I'll have to fight the urge all day and may end up eating again and again throughout the day... so I postpone until after dinner, and will have whatever less my stomach can accomodate after dinner :p

Not saying it won't work cause obviously it worked for you but what works for you might not work for her. And speaking of cold turkey I was a heavy smoker back in high school suddenly I just stopped outta nowhere cause my cardio sucked ass btw I didn't cut down on it I just quit and got sick for a few months but never looked back.

Whoa your scorp coming on way too strong... I never said anything about it absolutely working for her or not. I was just throwing out a suggestion because that's the only thing you can do on forums? I was making an assumption that the OP struggled with quitting cold turkey because that's the obvious thing people try first so I suggested her alternatives... bruh

It's the brain - that does the craving, a craving that has become a habit - so you you have to brake that pattern. Start by cutting the source: don't buy anymore sweets (except for dark chocolate : ), buy fruits and nuts instead. And also, the most common advice: drink lots of water!

The cravings will stop - once you'll get used to a new the pattern (life style 🙂.

Its not that I buy sweets all like that anyways, but if I am home alone on a snow night I will FIND ingredients lurking in the house to make some type of cookie or cake.
