My mother, who has had back issues slipped disk etc in the past, has been experiencing many symptoms such as arm numbing and back pain for the last year and a half.

She has had her silicone implants in for 8 years (warranty is for 10 years). She's done epidural shots for the pain, and done numerous MRI's for her back.

This woman is an athlete. Kayaks (well used too) for 8 hours, stand up paddle boards, swims and runs miles. Suddenly she can barely move.

I've been encouraging her to look into the implants since her doctors are stumped as to what is causing the pain.

She did an MRI on her implants and sure enough, there is leakage from them. It all adds up.

These things are TOXIC AF.

Think carefully before doing something for cosmetic reasons that will end up fucking up your health drastically.

I know 3 other women who have experienced complications with their implants. Wild.

It's just like any cosmetic surgery. So many risks with bone manipulation, especially across repeated surgeries. If you're developing you may take a plunge way down south in unexpected ways. Like if you get your nose straightened, it can end up like twice as asymmetrical as before you even fucked with it, etc. Don't get me started on all the things not talked about with Sex Changes.

To a real Scientist, cosmetic surgery is a joke. It's playing Mr Potato Man with human physiology. It's barbaric as fuck.

Nevermind that unless your tits were significantly unattractive. No man seriously likes the way breast implants look. There's no natural weight to them, they're like round soccer balls. No perkiness at all and nowhere near as awesomely squishy as the natural deal.

What's your opinion on bariatric surgery?

Saline when it ruptures you know right away cause it kinda deflates. The silicone theres no way to know really cause it appears the same. Don't know much past that between the two.

How long have you had yours?

encapsulation is your body’s reaction to a foreign object, sure it’s not a good thing and needs to be fixed, but it’s not like ‘omg illness‘

I’ve decided to have a breast lift with implants and I’m about to do it this year probably. simply because I don’t think I have much to lose. they’re not gonna look worse. sure I’m scared of needing multiple surgeries, but that’s not really a common thing if you choose a decent doctor and take care of everything post op. my boobs have seriously fucked up my life and self esteem, the only thing I’ve seen as an exit is surgery... been thinking about it since 14. now I’ll turn 24 and the time has come

I hope it’s a smashing success.
