I’m not that sure, when I go to makeup stores the workers say I’m neutral. So I think I’m neutral but leaning towards warm undertones. In the winter time when I’m out of the sun for long periods of time I’m more neutral pale olive.

But when I’m in the sun more or tan ppl say I’m warm toned. So it depends on the amount of sun I get.

But I would say I’m olive skinned with neutral to warm undertones I think

Lol! I would describe my tone exactly the same way…word to word😄😄 Olive with neutral leaning towards warm undertones.

Cool maybe but I'm confused because I bought Fenty foundation and what fits me best is warm.

If Fenty foundation warm tone fits you best then maybe you are actually warm? Her foundation is pretty warm, even for me who has a similar complexion to like Kim Kardashian, her warm foundations are too warm for me.

That’s foundation I use too and I wear 225. Sometimes 210

What shade are you in fenty?

Also I think ppl get confused on the difference between undertone and skin tone. So ppl who are lighter think they are cool, and ppl who are darker think they are warm. For a long time I believed I was warm but now I realize I’m more neutral

Actually I don't know if I use Fenty full coverage foundation, just the skin tint blur. But then again with MAC cosmetics, I've always been on the cooler side.

Maybe I'm neutral or maybe parts of my face are cool yet warm? Something like that. I don't look right in foundation anyway. But maybe it's just due to poor matches all the time since people think I'm yellow or golden.

Ooo yes girl neutral olive team 🙌🏼 we must have a similar skin tone then! If you have oily skin I recommend the Fenty pro filter foundation in 225. It’s the only foundation that makes me look flawless and not cakey 🤌🏼

Do you happen to have one parent who is darker skin and the other light? I notice most ppl with this skin tone have one brown/dark skinned parent and one fair skinned, and they end up in between. That’s how it is for me, my father was brown/dark skin and mother is fair/light

Oh absolutely! That’s how mine is Olive 😄

Thanks for the suggestion doll💕I haven’t tried Fenty before except for the HEAT lipglosses 🙈but I have a combination skin. It sure gets oily but I have dry zones. Do you think Fenty pro filter would highlight dry zones ? If so, it may not be for me. If you think it can still work for me, can you please give me your skin reference in any of these foundations : Bobbi brown skin foundation/ Mac studio fix/ Estee Lauder double wear stay in place/ Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless / Huda beauty foundation stick/ Lancôme ultra wear care and glow. If we have the same shade in any of these, I’ll just order the Fenty one in the shade you mentioned and try it😁

Ok now that we all know our true skin color (the interior) we now at least have a general idea of what is the most appropriate thing to wear to match our true color. Be it clothing, jewelery, make up etc. Whereas I been wearing all kinds of coloring unaware how goofy I would look at times. Although I never posted any links to help you ones who don't know their true color but I'm sure you guys have access to Google. And for the one who asked about the season of their color skin tone it's somewhere on the webs. You can take the test on it and it'll give you a rundown of all of the color seasons.

And remember folks. Always wear sunscreen (specifically one with an SPF 50 or higher) when out and about outdoors no matter what skin tone you have.

I actually also have combination skin since I’m mostly oil on my T zone areas, but the rest of my skin Id say is normal not too dry, but sometimes it will get dry when I don’t moisturize after washing my face.
I haven’t had problems with it highlighting the dryer parts. But I’m pretty sure if you moisturize there will be no problems! I like it because it can be medium to full coverage and it looks natural ~

I wish I could give a skin reference in one of those but I’ve never tried those before 😢 I just remember I used to use Nars foundation in the color Santa Fe.
Which one is your favorite? I always like trying new foundations!

I moisturise and prep my skin well before doing makeup. But my forehead and chin are super dry. Sometimes different areas too depending on my skincare the previous day/night. They can’t handle my retinols and other actives well but I can’t stop using them on these areas any way😂

No problem hon! I’ll figure out and try that.

And among the foundations I mentioned, Bobbi brown skin long wear weightless foundation is the absolute best! It gives very natural look but wouldn’t suggest it if you need some coverage! It has sheer coverage and wouldn’t cover any blemishes. It maybe buildable but I’m not sure if it still would give better coverage as I never tried more than half-1 pump of it! My mine goal is only to even out my overall skin tone generally!

Estee Lauder double wear is good if you are looking for coverage and long wearing! It will stay even in the most humid places.

CT is my another love!! It would make you look glowing🤌🏼But again, you need to have great skin to begin with for this to work! Any texture will be highlighted with this one! So I skip it on my bad skin days!

Stay away from Mac! It creases like crazy!

Aren’t there only two?
Cool or warm
Yeah. Then you have what they call neutral. Mostly women are entitled to the neutral one.
Do you know your season? I’m bright winter or deep winter

Clear winter

Pardon the interruption as I reboot this month old thread. I know you've probably deleted this girlfriendsinprison account like maybe 2 or 3 times since posting this. I was very hesitant to come back to this thread to say this cus I don't think it's really all that important but I've finally decided to have the courage to open it back up to clarify one thing. I'm actually a soft summer 😢

Not even a bit of winter like I always thought I was.
