Her only rule really is "does this item spark joy?" if so keep. If not, thank the item and donate/trash. So keep the candle holder!!!
She's very gentle in her approach. Some of these people are borderline hoarders and she's able to get through to them. Pretty incredible!click to expand

I spent every day this 5 days off going through all my stuff and sorting. Folding clothes in tiny rectangles like a meditation with Netflix on lol.

I've binged on the show. I have the book

I can tell you, you still have way too many clothes

Multiple homes and storage units.
That is the true secret to decluttering.

Plus I have a nordrack app shopping addiction.

Just another fad targeted at insecure and indecisive women.
I very much doubt Marie Kondo believes in financial minimalism...

So I found some of her folding/organization tips helpful...but I’m really not all there for her “does this item spark joy” approach
Like my toothbrush does not spark joy...but I clearly need it...

Right know I just organized my bookshelf and
Office space , while watching show

The first episode annoyed me with that useless woman wanting to hire a cleaner. She just seemed whiny and useless and not wife material.

^ Says the bitter misandronist...
Being organised and not encouraging clutter is pretty much common sense. Does anyone (male or female) really need to buy a book about it? Do you need a book (or fad) to encourage you to be brutally honest about your hoarding habit, when people in your personal life have probably been telling you the same thing for years? I mean, seriously!
Instead of being a radical hypocrite, maybe you (and others here) should employ a combination of self-awareness and common sense (which, btw, genderless). What Marie Kondo is peddling is nothing new or revolutionary - minimalism has been around for centuries...

No more entertaining the sad loser who hates women and has to pay for sex. Work on getting your mail order bride bro.
This thread is about positivity and folding clothes like origami

More towards items of sentiment.
Like with your clothes there’s things you reach for first.
And then there’s the stuff you wear cause nothing else is clean 😂😂click to expand

Who doesn't want to get spoiled?
Ppl who value their own efforts in making their life easy.
Sorry, I can’t respect a lazy and entitled princess.
She stays home!! What else is there
Yet she can’t clean?

Well, what happens if the person is busy outside or she simply am not interested in home work?
It would've been easier to hire a maid so that she could focus on other business' she takes care of from the outside a.k.a jobs.
Unless she manages time very well, of course..
You don’t have to like to clean, to clean.
You have to clean to keep your life in order.
Look at someone’s living space and see where they’re at in their headspace.
I see cleaning as evidence I respect myself and my roommates/spouse/family.
You let your kids live in a messy way, how are they going to value the things they’re given?
It’s deeper than doing the dishes.
This is why ppl reject their possessions and go minimalist.
It’s easy to purge and start over with space.

I'm on step one, clothes. Re-organizing feels good.
Gonna cry when I get to books/papers cause that part of my life/home is a chaotic mess.
