Well, that's really an individual dealio I think and specifc to a Significant Other relationship maybeh.
I was devastatingly and completely smitten. I don't personally believe in 'the One' - at least not for meh.
But this guy was the real deal.
Anyways. It was fabulously complex. The whole relationship was incredible- incredibly hard, incredibly soul destroying and incedibly fortifying.
I damn near killed myself working on that fucking relationship.
It taught me about myself, about others, about boundaries, about self Love, about Sacrifice, about men, about my Heart, about my limits, about family, about values and about Love and Life.

But no. It wasn't worth being SHAT on by somebody (who had the best of intentions and truly loved me btw).

He thought that yesh, we should disappear into a black hole together- no matter what, no matter what it took.
Some kind of starry eyed idealism that was supposed to demonstrate that I would go though anything for us to stay together- that any and all pain was worth the Love we had.
Unfortunately for me, it wasn't some romantic Romeo and Juliettesq situation- it was going to involve me: letting his 3-4day benders of visitng brothels and shooting up drugs and doing lines and lines of coke at late night 'work meetings' let all that slide. Treat it like another project we had to work thru together? Some kind of team building exercise? Fuck that.
I walked away with no regretz y'all.

I'd rather be alone forever then be somebody elses emotional punching bag- thank ye kindly 😎

In fact, it was never enough and my self absorption was in fact the reason why it all fell apart.

Things didn't go too well, she asked if I wanted to go back to being friends and try again, I told her to Fuck off and never contact me again. The other day I made a FB post about how I quit smoking, she liked the post. I sent her a message saying sorry about our falling out, and I had lots of fun together when we dated. I asked if she maybe wanted to hang out some time, not in a romantic way but as friends. She read, but never replied back. Fucking bitch. How you gonna like my post and feel proud for me, But then not want to chat?

I would never reach out in the first place after going through something like that unless I had the full intention of following through.
Whether it was rebuilding a romantic rapport or reestablishing a friendship.

If I don't see anything concrete it's just bridge closed. No hard feelings, but bye lol

I do the same thing. When I so painstakingly put myself out in the open for someone (doesn't happen often), and they dare disgrace that in any way, that link is severed. To the point where I do what you did. BLOCKED. DONE. Never to be seen again.
