"we'd love to just dive in there and explore the depths."
I don't have a lot of Virgo in my chart (I don't think), but true for me as well.
"in order to get the most out of your relationship with a scorpio, you need to be a combination of Count Dracula, Carl Jung, and Madonna."
what?! lmao
wheelhomies >>I don't have a lot of Virgo in my chart (I don't think), but true for me as well.
Yeah, I think this would apply to all Leo's. I don't think it's a Virgo thing, it's more of a "curiosity killed the cat" type of thing...
Yes, Leos are quite curious, aren't they?
Another thing is that I don't think we're afraid to discover the "dark" sides of people...at least I know that's how it is with me. Human complexities are fascinating.
wheelhomies>>Yes, Leos are quite curious, aren't they?
Another thing is that I don't think we're afraid to discover the "dark" sides of people...at least I know that's how it is with me. Human complexities are fascinating.
lol....does the word "afraid" even appear in our vocabulary?
I don't think so! But for some reason we still have a reputation for being cowards who only pretend to be fearless for an audience.
It is a simple fact that Leos are underappreciated. On dxp too!
Leos obviously have their flaws, but unfortunately, the positive is usually overlooked. Scorpio is known for being "the most understood sign"...but every sign is misunderstood, to a greater or lesser degree. I don't want to start a pity party, but from my perspective, Leo's gotta be right near the top.
OOOOOOOPS...Scorpio is known for being "the most MISunderstood sign"
.....purrrfect>>Why would you like somebody who makes "claims"? Just a question that has me confused.
Notice how the scorpio didn't answer you..........................................................
Actually, he did answer me. He said he found it entertaining.
....textbook scorpio that one is.....
I blame his moon 😉
Oh. And thanks for the Scorpio advice Leo. I was wondering.....lol
....you could have something there, I have 4 planets in Virgo in the 12th house (Mercury, Venus, Uranus, Pluto)....
Now this has my interest. I have Venus in the 12th too. This could only make your rising sign either Virgo or Libra. Which one?
I only have time for one post today. I'd love to chat in the future about your house placements. If you stick around. Bye for now.
....Hey...sb thinks I have a sag rising...and she has convinced me...well sort of......
omg. Dear lord in heaven hell has officially frozen over. This to the fact that you are even sort of convinced.
She could be RIGHT DB
Hey. Ever get a little loud and boisterous at your computer when you read something that makes sense and you can't contain yourself? I just had one of those moments.
I am trying to think of all the key points that make sense about when I first met you.
Although I was leaning more towards Libra......if I really think about it Sag makes much more sense. The fact that you used your sense of humor to fight with me when I first met you makes sense (just happened to be outdoors no less). The fact that you HAVE a sense of humor that can be sensed right away, well, makes sense. Or even an imagination as large (keyword) as yours.
:::remembers the large bowl of walnuts that she first found intimidating:::
Damn. Even that bowl was big.
Omg, debates right away...that would put mars near your ascendant. Something everyone can feel debating with you, I'm sure.
There is no way I could ever believe it's Capricorn. Scorp+Capricorn= NO not you. They say the moon is how you see yourself on the inside and maybe this is why you think it's Capricorn. Both can have a serious outlook.
I was going to make it equal something but I don't want to offend any Scorp/Cappies out there.
What were her reasons for choosing Sag?
wheelhomies >>It is a simple fact that Leos are underappreciated. On dxp too!
I don't think Leos are underappreciated. I just think that people just like to challenge us. Our being the king of the hill and all....(not that we really are, but we do tend to think of ourselves as such...and please don't tell us otherwise, it would break our big warm egotistical hearts)
purrrfect >>Actually, he did answer me. He said he found it entertaining.
lol, you accepted that as an answer?....okay.....(wink)
purrrfect >>Now this has my interest. I have Venus in the 12th too. This could only make your rising sign either Virgo or Libra. Which one?
Libra
Dancing Bread >>I can see this going well...it's like trhowing the dice....will the scorpio find it interesting and keep at it or will he just turn and walk away...hmmmmm
Actually...you hit it right on. This is exactly what I am waiting to see if you'll do. Funny you are...and VERY perceptive. As I've said elsewhere, I am currently in a battle of wills with a certain scorpio, and am trying to anticipate his actions/motives. But I'm finding that getting a read on my scorpio is about as difficult as trying to understand the lyrics of a Wu-Tang Clan album. So far, your actions mirror his. I'm guessing you'll begin to play "hard to get" any moment now....what do you think? And what would I have to do to get you to let me plumb the depths?
"getting a read on my scorpio is about as difficult as trying to understand the lyrics of a Wu-Tang Clan album"
lmfao!!!!!!!! holy shit woman (sorry I called you a dude before)! you're hilarious
"I don't think Leos are underappreciated. I just think that people just like to challenge us. Our being the king of the hill and all...."
- Hahaha. Now that certainly is possible. I never considered that 😉
I could go on and on about all the misconceptions about Leos here, but I won't go there, because you're intelligent and I'm sure you already know them. Since they're all negative..well, that's what led me to say we're underappreciated. It was kind of a joke.
Yes, I have been made aware of the fact that my jokes suck before.
*dejected*
I don't know DB...obviously you say that from the Scorpio perspective (possibly sag, what the frick?), but one of Leos greatest strengths is defense as well. While it takes a loooong time for Leo to grasp the "depths" of a Scorpio, there's some things we intuitively understand.
"the control is for different reasons..."
Hmmmmmmmm 😛
"When you have these discussions, you can't just say a leo can do everything...Since we are all connected, each person does have common ground...in terms of signs, there are distinct qualities...All these qualites make the whole...the balance"
- Ok.
"A leo can only grasp so much from the depths...it isn't their personality to fully understand..."
This is probably true in some cases. I'm guessing you're drawing off your Leo friends you mentioned before?
There's always the other factors, planets, etc. that affect a person's ability to analyze and perceive the nuances of a situation. A Leo with certain placements..I think could really surprise you with how well they understand you. Eh. What do I know.
"The depth of the scorpio lies in pure emotion..."
I believe you. (beautiful phrasing by the way)
Oh, and I'm going to say that some Leos will be able to pick up on AND comprehend (sit down, it's alright) the emotions you mentioned. I don't mean they have to be "explained" (not really sure where you're getting this from)..but yeah, they can be understood.
NO, my comments are based on my understanding of sun signs
Don't yell at me.
Regarding the rest of the post: Yeah, I guess.
You're interesting. All smart and stuff.
Oh yeah, and what's with the hunting Leos? lol
Hehehehe 😛
No 😉
By the way, stop picking on me for being a Leo. I can't help it you know.
...Of the three decans, sb thinks I am second decan sag rising...I've been dabbing with my birth chart seeing the effects of changing the time to fit the secan decan rising....
I haven't read too much into the decans of the rising sign but I'll bet if you could figure that out you will be somewhat closer to knowing what your chart looks like. Decans are separated by 10 degrees.
DB, what's ending and beginning for you?
.............purrrfect >>Actually, he did answer me. He said he found it entertaining.
lol, you accepted that as an answer?....okay.....(wink)..............
Yes, it was a solid answer.
Dancing Bread >> The usual, feed my ego, bring me flowers, make me breakfast. Tell me no man has ever made you feel this way before...and don't forget I like my eggs scrambled...
lol, Is that right?
Dancing Bread >> hmmm...You may find as a leo, you have an edge on a scorpio in a battle field...but are walking on thin ice...the moment you push too far forward in this battle of the wills, the scorpio will have the advantage.
Yes, but the thing is...I didn't start a battle. I just started dating him.
Dancing Bread>> but are walking on thin ice...the moment you push too far forward in this battle of the wills, the scorpio will have the advantage. Our greatest strength is in defense...a wild fire cannot pass the stream. This relationship is all about control...and the control is for different reasons...may the best person win....
What does the scorpio need to control? Especially at the beginning of the dating process?
Dancing Bread>>A leo can only grasp so much from the depths...it isn't their personality to fully understand...And the leo doesn't need to, because there are other signs that can. The undercurrent of emotions lie in the water signs...an intellectual leo can tell me all day long how they understand and know these emotions...but all I can say is that if you could, you wouldn't be able to talk about them easily. Emotions are not meant to be described only felt. The depth of the scorpio lies in pure emotion...
Leo can understand pure emotion. Respectfully....Your wrong! To say that Leo (or anyone for that matter) can't understand pure emotion is to say that they can't love. Love is to emotions, what white is to color. White is the total of all the other colors in the spectrum, combined. And what is love but the total of all other feelings combined? In order to experience pure love....you must experience EVERY OTHER HUMAN EMOTION.
And what's all this nonsence about not being able to talk about them? My friend, your way off. First of all, let's exchange the word talk, with the word communicate. It's a much better, fuller, more accurate one. In any honest conversation about feeling we need to understand how it is that we communicate. When we try to speak to each other - me to you, you to me - we are immediately constricted by the unbelievable limitation of words. For this reason, we do not communicate by words alone. In fact, rarely do we do so. The most common form of communication is through feeling. Feeling is the language of the soul. Why do you think everyone on these boards use emoticons in their posts?
(con't)
(con't)
Feelings are sometimes difficult to discover - and often even more difficult to acknowledge. Yet hidden in our deepest feelings is our highest truth. The trick is to get to those feelings. We also communicate with thought. Thought and feelings are not the same, although they can occur at the same time. In communicating with thought, we often use images and pictures. For this reason, thoughts are more effective than mere words as tools of communication. In addition to feelings and thoughts, we also use the vehicle of experience as a grand communicator.
And finally, when feelings and thoughts and experience all fail, we use words. Words are really the least effective way to communicate. They are most open to misinterpretation, most often misunderstood. And why is that? It is because of what words are. Words are merely utterances, noises that STAND FOR feelings, thoughts, and experience. They are signs, Insignias. They are not truth. They are not the real thing. Your experience and your feelings about a thing represent what you factually and intuitively know about a thing. Words can only seek to symbolize what you know, and can often confuse what you know.
Now, is it that Leo can't understand? Or might it be that we are simply willing to TRY to communicate and share our thoughts, feelings, and experiences (even with the unbelievable limitation of words)?
wheelhomies>> Oh, and I'm going to say that some Leos will be able to pick up on AND comprehend (sit down, it's alright) the emotions you mentioned. I don't mean they have to be "explained" (not really sure where you're getting this from)..but yeah, they can be understood.
You go girl! ...What we have to remember, is that the Leo is influenced by the positive, masculine, day forces in the zodiac, and they enable us to be optimistic enough to try to convey what we are feeling, thinking, and experiencing, and to let them out in the light of day where they belong. (or so we think) Whereas a scorpio is influenced by the negative, feminine, night forces of the zodiac, making them go underground, or keep hidden (under the cloak of night) what they may be experiencing, feeling, thinking...
it's true...scorpio really does think they nobody can be as deep as them....
The depth of the Scorpio lies in pure emotion...
Actually, by this argument Scorpios do not understand pure intellect because emotion colours intellect.
Good point.
Although this raises a bigger question. What does the element of fire really represent?
For me..
Action, innovation, and passion
and more..but who really cares...😛
I was trying to be deep. lol!
"In astrology, a fire sign refers to any of the three signs Aries, Leo or Sagittarius. In earlier astrology, the fire signs were often called bitter to contrast with the "sweet" air signs."
hee hee!
Cookie is going to barf.
The worst qualities of fire signs are seen as their tendency to be irresponsible, overbearing, impatient and boastful to the point of hurting others' feelings. They can also supposedly find it very hard to deal with detail because of their quest for the "big picture". Because astrology holds that fire signs are frequently highly outspoken, they can prove too much for more sensitive types of people who resist the criticism they can produce. They are supposedly by nature emotional rather than rational and quick to anger if they disapprove, but, unlike water signs, very quick to forgive and not sensitive to criticism.
Interesting.
shit
little_sparrow
no no no no no no no no NO
when I said "it's not like anyone cares" (or w/e I don't remember the wording), I wasn't talking about your philosophizing, I was referring to my personal opinions. Please refrain from being offended, as that is the least of my intentions.

- Wow. Obviously I can only speak from my own perspective...but, for me, this is all true. I definitely have these tendencies, although some of them aren't as prominent.
wheels
lol! I wasn't offended in the least. I thought it was funny. 🙂
good *wipes sweat off brow*
***Yet, you see this as a negative thing.
No. You misread my intention. I see it merely as an interesting/curious thing.
For the most part, I am not an emotional person and for that, I am grateful. I don't like being emotional. It upsets me. 🙂
Intellect and emotion must work together. No good can come from either running untempered.
hey muse!
how is it hangin?
Intellect with out emotion lacks compassion. Emotion without reason lacks stability.
Sun_in_Leo wasn't attacking anybody...
Muse,
I did. I am not sure how I feel about what you said. Just be careful. Could go either way. Fingers crossed!
roni >>SiL......that was huge!!!!!!!!!!!! I get it about not being able to describe our feelings, but should (or shouldn't)we try? That question was ABSOLUTELY serious by the way.
I'm glad you got what I was saying. Very good!
Dancing Bread >> hmmm...that isn't going to fly...not understanding the extend of emotions does not mean someone can not love...
Sure it does, as I explained to you in some detail....
Dancing Bread>>you can barely grasp emotions and love...
By what yardstick do you measure how much a person can or can't grasp emotions and love?
Dancing Bread>>I believe that would be visual: body movement, facial expressions...feelings can be hidden...
Yes, feelings can be hidden.....yes, body movement, facial expressions......but it's not just the sense of sight that we use to express feelings. What about the other four senses? ....touch....taste.....smell.........hear............
Dancing Bread>>lol...oh, lighten up Ms Positive...I see the fire in you burns too quickly...
my light burns steady.....and is eternal.
Dancing Bread>>You can shout in the rain all day long...maybe you need that to feel better...
I don't need to feel better. I do feel good, I'm online talking to my new friends. What more could I ask for. xoxo
Dancing Bread>>My comments are concerning sun signs, I don't know how much I have to say that...b/c you obviously have to keep posting like you are defending yourself...and you are no longer interesting...I don't have the time to listen to you rage on and on...
I don't rage sweatheart.
Dancing Bread>>Very true about emotions and words...I absolutely agree...words do not truly define emotions...which is why everyone can describe love differently...Once again, I mentioned that we are all connected...we happen to derive from 12 signs, which as a unit creates the balance of the human condition...no sign is more important than the other. Each holds an important part in the whole...SO, we all feel. Period. Water signs are more in touch with emotions...that is what we bring to the table...
Agreed.
Dancing Bread>>Please quit with taking what I write and using it as an attack...it gets old...
I 'm not taking anything as an attack. I'm engaging an issue.
Dancing Bread>> lol...cute...I guess I should feel bad now...I'm soo negative...oh the shame...
Your going to feel whatever your going to feel. I really don't have much choice in the matter.
wheelhomies >> Sun_in_Leo wasn't attacking anybody...
Did you see that?
but of course 😉
Looks like DB just couldn't resist. Hehehehehe.

Dancing Bread>>I mentioned it on purrrfect's post...arrogance with no worth....
Ah, yes...no worth...Does a thing only have worth once it has been appraised as worthy? And if it IS appraised as worthy, had it no worth before it was appraised?
Dancing Bread>> hmmm...never thought that way...purrrfect does, I figured it was her virgo influences...
you could have something there, I have 4 planets in Virgo in the 12th house (Mercury, Venus, Uranus, Pluto)
