The shallowness...sometimes the situation doesn't call for it, sometimes it would make the other person uncomfortable, sometimes I'm guilty of being judgemental...and I never really open up anyway. If the opening open is what you mean by shallow, then yes, very much so. It doesn't mean I don't go deeper, I just choose not to share it.

In regard to deep feelings, what I meant was, not being able to express deep feelings or not feeling deeply for someone in a relationship, like relationships just aren't that serious and there is not a lot of emotional attachment.

Yes, we can all be shallow about some things, but what I mean is to have a shallow character, no depth or passion for deeper issues in life, only living in the moment and focused on the exterior and issues that affect you and no one else...

I see what you're saying and I have had and felt the long term commitment you speak of, but it felt more like a friendship and loyal partnership than a loving, deeply felt relationship, which is what I want now....love and commitment, not just commitment...you're right that they are not interchangeable but isn't deep emotional attachment what really keeps someone in a relationship happy and committed, not just loyal? I'm not talking about co-dependency, rather an equal partnership with deep emotional bonds. I guess I'm questioning if he is capable of that.

1. I am very jealous and extremely possessive if I love him... sounds like an oxymoron

Yeah I don't like conflict avoidance either, especially being as I've been face to face with that recently this year. On the other hand, I also have to consider my reactions and my behaviour so as to not make it seem to others that conflict avoidance is better than face-to-face discussion.

I have to strongly disagree. Not to be argumentative, but I strongly believe there's no real correlation there. So many threads you see here start with "how does he feel about me? and "I can't figure out how he feels about me or if his feelings are real?"
I often try to point out it makes no difference if you can figure out how someone else feels, because you won't really know 100% ever and you won't understand what it's like to be them. You can definitely understand what it's like to be attached to each other, fused as one but that's the moment you stop being individuals (and it isn't so bad, it's actually great when it's momentary).
Strong feelings are momentary. To me, commitment involves passion, sure.. loyalty too, respect.
Respect can make or break a relationship for me. It can even give re-birth to passion, strong feelings and devotion. It has room for emotional attachment to happen in there over and over, stronger each time. But emotional attachment isn't going to make or break a relationship in my personal view. That's also why I don't believe co-dependency is strictly bad or such a big deal. I respect that you see it differently though, and I've been wrong about these things before.
I actually have very "little" Libra in me I think.... but;
