It's a Barry Manilow song. But I suppose I could see how it would sound like a logic problem.

I love logic problems πŸ˜›. Is Barry Manilow somebody who was once famous in like the 70s or the 90s?

Very much so. Probably even earlier than that to be honest, since I didn't actually know about him until well into the 90s, but Copa Cabana (the song) was in the late 70s. And I feel pretty old considering this is the first time I'm elaborating to someone else on who Barry Manilow is. Life... don't it go by in a flash.

Having teenagers question what one assumes to be well-known and normal information to all, that is the moment when one realizes we are moving on, the new and younger generation is already coming at us, head on and fast.

Yup, they are faster and stronger. But the old dog has some tricks yet 😏

When one ventures upon the topic of music and films, once one talks about the classics, the young'uns give that now infamous blank look and smirk. Ay, not even old and wrinkly, yet one feels so!

I'm completely unplugged from mainstream culture, so regardless if he came around in the last decade or the last four-I probably still wouldn't have known who he was. How old are you?

Just found out that my boss is a Taurus. Man, that explains soooo much. I basically have to explain to him in detail why I think my solution will work. He's VERY cautious. Working from a Taurus in my opinion is the same as being in a relationship with one. Very hit or miss. Depends on what angel you come at them, and early on perception.

...and how is your work-alationship with your boss?

It's ok. He's the same with everyone across the board. He gives you something to do, he expect you to do it. But he doesn't like for you to get info from people if you get stuck. He does that with everyone. So you have to disobey him and not get Tue job done (he'll get mad) or disobey him and not get the job done. I'm finding that disobeying his second order isn't nearly nearly as bad as disobeying his first. His famous quote is 'get it done'. Doesn't tell you how he wants it done but he want it done in a certain way. He has one heck of a personality to work around.

Keeps one on ones toes, but there is logic in his method. One supposes he prefers to have his employees capable, knowingly so, if there is one bad apple that is not, and pursues around the whole office in search of an answer of method, it clearly distracts everyone else from their own work, lowering efficiency overall. One can say, it is clear cut and straight forward? Get it done and call it a day.

Any news from Ms.Bull?

Would you consider yourself an 'old soul'?

Middle-Aged is hardly that much older than you, although what specific activities/hobbies of yours, do you presume alienates you from your generation as it were?

I do consider myself that, yet I've noticed that's a pretty common feeling for people to have about themselves.

I wouldn't say circumstances beyond our control have alienated me, just that I willfully made my own decisions leading me to this place. I'm all about work, slow and steady. Building something right. Only really is my Cancer best friend on that same type of vibe.

No, circumstances can never alienate you, your hobbies, preferences, likes and dislikes usually does the trick. A Crab? Out of curiosity do you possess heavy amounts of water in your chart or they themselves are very grounded, earthy or air-filled?

Does it leave you feeling uncomfortable, even though it is by choice?

(Not sure if you are into Psychology but I read an interesting article the other day called - "Confessions of a Sociopath", have you read it or caught wind of it?)

If anything, I feel uncomfortable with how comfortable I am with it. Like I said this week, I have to not be too complacent about being so at ease with being alone and put some more work into being an accessible person outside of work. Everything has it's own time though and I'm happy to be spending my time like this while I still can.

I don't know enough about his chart to say but strictly speaking Pullen-wise yeah I have a fair amount of water. My chart is incredibly balanced in almost every single aspect and element - with the exception of Fire.

I haven't read that article but I remember you namedropping it somewhere else. What makes you think of it?

Yes, when does one say enough and when does one realize being alone but have its drawbacks, it is a hard balance to keep but at your age, having work being central to your life is a great prospect in opening doors later on in the future where you can then, at anytime resume the access to your social persona, which could be picked up upon at any time, unlike a worthwhile career. Without the stable $ $ $ frankly one would be far too stressed and otherwise to even desire to leave anywhere but home, my opinion of course.

It left me thinking, there are far many more sociopaths than we might assume, simply on varying spectrum though where does it stop, from being a mere sociopath to a psychopath, or they are one and the same. In fact being a sociopath, or rather traits of one, if used in small doses, do give rise to the similar traits found in successful individuals across the board. High-functioning sociopaths, may not lack empathy entirely, which came as a surprise. Even though this is considered a personality disorder not necessarily negatively connotative but only a very slim majority have ever caused a crime, they are often highly capable and intellectual individuals, for all we know, many users here might fit this 'category'.

Would you care for a read...if I have time I could get an excerpt in here edgewise.

Ooh, no. πŸ˜›

What do you tiz and VH have to do now?

Hahha the terms of the bet were as follows

1. Losers have to make various posts across the forums declare how superior the winners are, how their team is better than the losers life, shit like that lol

2. Losers also have to do a vocaroo stating and embracing such shame

3. The winners get to force the losers to use a specific AVATAR for a week. (Nothing stupid like a disease ridden vagina). Something appropriate, shameful, full of smack talk, etc πŸ˜„

what were you haters saying about the king? HEAT THE BEST TEAM! LONG LIVE THE KING!

If its not about meeting random girls, how do you meet them? thru friends, web? Do you think pickiness is always an excuse for eternal bachelors? πŸ˜‰ lol
Picky in what way? is it hard for you to feel the right chemistry with someone? did it happen often/rare in your dating life so far?

Leebs these are great questions!

Umm usually just through social circles: Friends, acquaintances, etc. Quite honestly, its not that many, thus why I find it hard to meet quality people. As far as the whole online dating website? Nah, I've never done that. I know some people who have and it worked out great. I know others where it was a horrible experience.

Hah as for the eternal bachelor thing? Umm, for me it's not. I think it goes back to one of our prior conversations where I generally know what type is going to make me happy and the type I WANT to make happy.

"Picky in what way? is it hard to feel the right cheistry with someone?"
Nope! Not at all and that's just why I'm picky. If I had to put it in as few as words as possible, it's all about finding that connection for me. Easy to say, harder to find. And on top of that, just someone that inspires me.

What else! Bring it! πŸ˜„

Ok do you think that when a person says he/she is very picky, he/she is searching for something nonexistent or unattainable? I for ex, I know I have a bunch of demands and non-negotiables, but they seem reasonable and realistic.

For most people, I actually agree with this. For my my pickyness is just knowing what makes it all worthwhile for me. (Grand epiphany: It's REALLY hard not to sound cheesy with all of this haha)

The few demands and non-negotiables of yours that I know of aren't unreasonable at all. Call it "the lessons of the one's that didn't work out and were horrible" haha.

btw, by saying this, I didn't mean it is not good to be picky, but it is more about being "too" picky at the cost of not being able to find the right mate

Nonon I get you, Leebs. I actually think being picky is a good thing. It's a sign you know what you want. The other type of picky is just honestly a wall people put up more than anything.

Hey Rocky, what's upβ€”

I saw thuperman!

...it was just like all the Batman movies! The guy who did them seems to love to make really long movies and drag that shit out forever. Leaves you wondering when the story will pick up.

Good movie, but that's my only gripe, really. I liked the Batman movies, but good god, hurry the hell up already. Even when the main action sequences start, you think that's it, BUT WAIT, THERE'S MOAR.

Saw the above mentioned movie with him tonight. I haven't bothered communicating with him and have left it up to him. "When I get my schedule next week, I'll see if we can hang out." Then, "When are you free this week?" After we talked about potential plans, he even started flirting around with me. (wtf dude)

I had quite the internal battle, tbh. Why bother with someone who said all that dumb shit? But I figure after giving him hell and he wanting to at least save face and making an effort, I might as well humor his attempt. Not that it's not appreciated, I just don't think the effort was genuine. Only done because I called him out on his lousy bs.

I also made him come all the way up here (as opposed to meeting halfway or going down there), lolz.

I have my process with all this, but once I get to this point, it's not hard to be like "eff this. Prove yourself or gtfo."

What's helped a lot is my guy friends have been hanging out with me more, so it's taken my mind off of it all.

Oh the chemistry isn't why I'm a pain in the ass. You just have to feel it, let that person make you smile, be able to make said person smile. It's a wonderful thing.

The pain in the ass thing is just what I'm always called by whomever I'm dating. I'm apparently either Prince Charming or a Pain in the Ass. There's usually no middle ground lol. I'm that thorn in your side you love dearly and can't live without.

Rocky - do you have any expectations from him? Its good he made an effort to come to you, maybe it is better to be little bitchy for a change πŸ˜‰ maybe he needs a bitch slap? lol

I don't have any, tbh.

If he wants to hang out and be friends or whatever shit he thinks he knows he wants, fine. I'm just not wasting any more effort on it. Why bother when he made it clear how little he thinks of me? Disposable friend? That go to when nobody else is around? Pfft.

It was amusing tonight that when he'd check his phone, he had no new texts. Summer break started at school. It'd explain why I heard so much from him the last few days...

I seriously loled when he started joking about something kinda sex related (long story). Meanwhile, in the back of my mind I'm like BUT WE'RE FRIENDS. WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT FOOL.

Yeah it can be. It's not even about wanting anything in any sense- romantic or not. As an individual, he's struck me as an opportunist when it comes to the friend department. I'm okay with whatever, but it won't be me making the effort anymore. And if he doesn't and disappears in the process, oh well.

I've dealt with this type of person a lot, especially since I got to Cali. I'm cool with someone overall, but when I start to see the signs, I pay more attention. If I realize that I'm the one making all the effort, I back off. Voila, they magically disappear. Oh okay then. Freaking fake user. Jebus.
