It can happen with old cats. I'm sure her stubbornness of not drinking from water bowls and insisting on drinking from the sink didn't help any either. :/
Poor animals. They can't talk like us I can't imagine what it must be like for them and we can not understand them. Just have to go on their habits of how they act.
The vet has given me everything that's needed. She's hit end stage renal failure, so it's "this is all we can do, just keep going with it."
She has to be on a special diet because the diet needs to be low phosphorus. She wasn't eating that, so I made up regular food with her meds in it and she nibbled on that a bit.
And I didn't say she wasn't drinking water. I'm saying that's how she was with her water her whole life. Always from the tap, never from the bowl. If she couldn't get it from the tap, she just wouldn't drink at all. I'm sure that this didn't help the development of kidney failure, especially if it was hereditary.
She's drinking okay now. Not the best, but she's still drinking water when we take her to the sink. She's also on sub q fluids so that helps with the hydration issues.

Seriously. It's what makes this situation a pain in the ass. I know her all too well. I can tell she feels meh, she still wants to try to do her thing in her usual stubborn manner, but her body is just crapping out on her. It's what makes it so sad that I have to make a decision soon if this keeps up. Her personality is still there, her mind is still sharp, but her body just doesn't want to keep up.
My poor bub. This whole thing sucks. She's such a good girl and it's so not fair that this had to happen to her. 😢

It is not, but unfortunately I think this is how most cats go through some kind of illness that is torture. Especially when they get old. 😢 Putting them down is not fun at all.
Nope. And I know it happens with them. What makes all of this so hard is seeing that she still wants to do her thing and hasn't given up. If she was giving me the "I give up" vibe, I'd so be less conflicted about making a decision.

So it was beautiful on the way out there. Sun was shining down hard. Not a cloud in the sky. Air had that certain warmth that you just knew meant you would get some decent color in.
So I'm hoping for a day similar to this...
Also praying that if the water even remotely looked like this, I'd have some fun...

Soo disappointed hahah. I ended up playing in the water for about 20, the overcast finally left and I laid out for about an hour 🙂

It wasn't terribly crowded. Higher concentration of the family types but still plenty of room.

Ah so the fun tour. Excellent. I have some buddies out in Temecula so the wine tasting is always fun.
Okay as for Catalina, you know the best I've been able to get out of Catalina was going there who whomever I was dating because she wanted to go shopping there. Thus I ended up left meandering a little, while holding her shopping bags and while hoping we run into a good place to grab a bite and drink.
I've always though you could do all that in Laguna or Newport and more without having to take the damn ferry back and forth to Catalina. So it's not bad once in a long while.
Your friend will probably enjoy it and you'll get some shopping done 😄

where do most of you go to meet people you might be interested in marrying or dating out of curiosity?also random question.....
do you eat fruits and vegatbels in season? do you also reduce eating fruits in the fall and winter or not eat at all. i can understand eating fruits by season but i am not sure about vegetables. i eat vegetables all year round without really worrying about anything or wondering about the health consequences etc.
I am very bad with eating fruits and veggies. I am working on increasing though because my health is important to me. However, I have made the excuse of being too busy and working a lot. Things must change. Usually I am all about bananas. I love strawberries(better in season, but I eat them whenever), apples, kiwi(my favorite), grapes, kale, brocolli, spinach, salads. I know I need to eat more colorful veggies though with their antioxidant properties. I like most fruits and veggies I just don't buy them most often.
Oh and about where I go to meet people I want to date or marry. Well I do not go anywhere. LOL I meet people where I end up going and I may take your number if there is an initial interest. However, a lot of men get disqualified or disqualify me due to whatever. I don't put out easy. I am a bit old school. I rather you call me than text me. I rather you as the man ask me out for the first date. Once we go out if the conversation is good we are on a good path. If you make me laugh we are on a great path. If you keep my interest we are on an awesome path, but it usually goes sour if they are not trying to be my friend instead of wanting to jump in my pants. 🙂
Most people I have dated was through the work place, knowing them in the neighborhood, or through a friend. I have met people in clubs which has NEVER turned fruitful.
