You know...

Christopher Reeve will ALWAYS be Superman to me. I remember catching some of the old one's in syndication with the guy before Reeve's and still he couldn't beat Christopher Reeve.

Then I remember when Reeve's suffered the paralyzing injury and thinking "SUPERMAN CAN'T BE PARALYZED..."

Aww, a little boy's dream shattered...but true, I would agree with you there 😒

The one before Reeve? You mean the 1948-50 series in black and white by Columbia?

Well, yes. He is implanted into my mind as The Superman, hence it becomes very strange, seeing the new Man of Steel and the publicity surrounding it. I could not associate the two, together.

Yes, the black and white one. I remember seeing that old, old one a couple of times.

Kind of an interesting story regarding Reeve's accident:

So I'm going through the early parts of my Firefighter / EMT training and one of the people handling the EMT portion was one of the lead ER nurses in the county, thus she was fairly in the know of what was happening in this area as well as out of the area.

When Reeves had the accident, apparently there was a roll of film played on TV immediately after the accident where the EMT's were handling Reeves to get him treatment. My instructor was watching the news and she literally dropped her jaw because from her impression, the EMT fucked up Reeves care by not providing traction and bracing his neck since first indication was a potential spinal injury. Standard protocol if there's any possibility of a neck or spinal injury is providing that care.

In short, my instructor believes from what she saw on the clip that there's substantial evidence that Reeves accident didn't cause the his paralyzation as much as him being transported without the traction. In short, the EMT fucked up and caused the paralyzation.

To further this, she wasn't the only one to catch this clip on the news. When the proper people began to look for this clip, it "magically" could no longer be found.

Gosh, that made me so sad, VH. Spinal/cranial injuries are a HUGE part of the curriculum in the EMT courses! Everyone knows, even if the injury is minor with ANY possible indication of spinal manipulation, you brace and immobilize the PT. The smallest factor could completely destroy the PTs spinal cord :/

Poor, Chris. He was such a wonderful and handsome superman. No one will compare.

I was waiting and hoping you'd chime in *grin*

Yes, that's COMPLETELY "protocol 101" for us. What the hell was the EMT thinking not caring for suspected spinal injury practices.

"The smallest factor could completely destroy the PTs spinal cord :/ "
Utterly and completely. Thus why my instructor just looked at the tv stunned watching the clip.

In an entirely romantic mood,

One could tell how much a man loves his woman, simply by the way he treats her, the way he holds her, the way he smiles at her, the way he looks at her...says it all.

Morning loveseeker. VH. Lady Scorpio, Tiziani, and Mixtape.

My dad got an Aries lighter yesterday lol.

@VH what's the deal with guys and legs?

Let's see...
General speaking men are very much VISUAL creatures.
Men's lines tend to be straight, square, hard and sculpted lines
Women's lines tend to be curvy, soft, warm, inviting...

Thus men are helpless to want to feast on the beautiful eye candy before us. Now this isn't an excuse to be a pig. I'm just saying I'm not going to deny myself the beauty of a rose if one is laid out before me.

As to why legs? Guys tend to have their preference for favorite parts. Some men like breasts. Some like asses. Some like legs.

I'm far more into the latter two. Those are harder to fake than breasts.

I try and hold it down guys, but honestly I'm quite the chef and pretty sex when it comes to the kitchen. It's painful being this good sometimes. The steak to end all steaks. Your favourite steak's favourite steak - I can do that for you.

Hahaha that's epic tiz!!!

@Feb are you drinking coffee to wake yourself up or because you like the taste?

I need to wake up! Gotta teach in about 30 minutes and I feel a little sleepy. I do love the taste though as well...lattes for me πŸ˜›

What else do you teach besides Zumba? πŸ™‚

Good Morning!! πŸ˜„ I can teach pretty much any class. I have multiple certifications and a lot of experience teaching. Right now I teach bootcamp classes, zumba, body sculpting and spinning.

Thank you for asking. LOL. I remember the first time I ever taught in front of a large group. I literally had 0 experience. They just threw me out there.
Same thing happened to me when I started bartending years back...I wanted to bartend so badly so I went into a really nice restaurant with a huge bar and said I had all this experience blah blah. I didn't even know how to make a single drink. What an adventure that first night working lol. My boss knew what was up though. I ended up staying there for a few years...made awesome money too.

Leave it up to an Aqua lady to leave one spinning with the plethora of activities in which they embark on, everybody and everything is but a friend and a new experience, they would all say πŸ˜„

Well, you must have charmed them real well back in those days, you still certainly do. Bar-tending must have been but crazy hectic, whilst maintaining a smile and being social...oh dear!

Those legs....are not mine LOL. πŸ™‚ I do LOVE them so much myself though.

Well, I bet your legs are just as shapely and fine πŸ™‚

Thank you I do do my bestest. πŸ™‚ Lots and TONS of isolation work is the key πŸ˜›

The hardest area is the back (in my opinion), then the legs, keeping them shapely is but easy, but keeping them from bulking up, especially the calves, is but a headache, to maintain that balanced proportion.
