Why are Libras So Emotional?

People always say that libras are air signs so they detach their feelings, but most libras besides myself really FEEL their emotions and are actually extremely sensitive.

My moon in aquarius really doesn't give a shit about sticky emotional situations and over the top expression. More like sprint the other direction when it comes up. The past couple years I've been recognizing my urges to run away and I've been forcing myself to stick it out and talk about things to others.

Libra sun with Aquarius moon here. ME TOO! I am not emotional at all! The ones I know are coldly logical.

I have read two astrology books on Libra and tons and tons of internet articles and very few astrologers refer to Libras as emotional. Now our emotions are determined by our moons sign. But many of the things I read about Libra do not pertain to me at all like: Libras want to keep peace. Fuck that I am into war. LOL, Libras will passively accept bad behavior to keep harmony: WHAT? I will check a fucker so fast it will make his head spin.

Libras are social - I am isolate, I have to admit people do really like my personality and invite me out, but I prefer to be at my mom's house.

Libra need to be in relationship. - Okay that's true for me. LOL.

I don't think any sign can be generalized. Other placements give such a variety range of personality traits. But no My Libra aunt, step mother, myself, my grandmother were not emotional or sensitive. But now today I have learned something new; there are emotional Libras. See, no one has all the answers.

I feel readinf up.on signs is about 45 accurate just from experience on the ppl in my life the air signs ive met were sensitive. I had to watch my words because they were very sensitive and didnt hsve alot water in their chart fyi. And the same for when ppl meet me im far from that sensitive cancer ppl read about idk. I love deeply i care im sweet and caring but my feelings do not hurt easily i can be aloof and distant too and detach. Im very calm and laid back etc. I personally love and im thankful for whatever placements i have in my chart that made me this way. Also in reference to libras any all signs r very different ppl need to stop putting all signs in the same box and just judge ppl based on who they r not what u read or previously experienced etc. I think libras r sensitive i agree. Not all may be but they need love affection and they may act like they dont care but they do.

Sadly, even when i do so, people dislike me (for no reason at all). Its because of Venus retrograde ruling my 7th house of relationships (that includes coleagues and friends).

Yeah but you are a Sun in SCorpio, so of course you are emotional. It sounds like your Libra moon does very little to detach you from all the emotions that typically drown the water signs.

i am super emotional...but i have been called ice queen as well...and yeah as someone said above, i too hate getting into arguments, i like being at peace with everyone, dont like fighting, run away from negative ppl...always try to be polite and see both sides of a problem...but those emotions...they can be sometimes a horrible thing...i wish i was less emotional

Libras can be cold and emotional at the same time. My ex cried when I was leaving him. He also gets so emotional over small things like memories of us and pictures. He still gets emotional over things. But then again, he has a non caring cold side where he says mean things or gets angry over little things like traffic. But I agree that libras are emotional people but also depends on their moon, venus etc.

1.quick to detect or respond to slight changes, signals, or influences.
"the new method of protein detection was more sensitive than earlier ones"

2. emotional means: dominated by or prone to emotions

The thread was about being emotional - ruled by or dominated by emotions, not quick to respond to slight changes. As a cardinal I respond to the slight changes and signals of people's tone and words because I have zero tolerance for disrespect, not because I am emotional. So i believe you when you said you had to watch what you said.

aaaahhhh "courted by a Libra" ... I love it - that's what mine said recently - that he was "courting" ... how sweet ...

my Libra loves my affection and I love giving him that - I give it to him sort of like in a "taking care of you" mode and he seems to love it - being pampered ... we homey together ...

I lije the astrology section but ppl need to understand astrology isnt the only thing that makes up a person thid is the libra thread and not all signs can relate to eachother etc

I think the PO is right some libras r emotional rather its rage or sensitivity can lead to emotions too. U even mentioned u react on some things that makes u emotional to react or? I think we all have slight emotions qnd sensitivity though

Yeah definitely not an "emotional" libra. When people cry all the time about things (some water signs) I don't know how to deal with it. I was a with a watery Taurus too. He cried more than I did. My Cancer Dad hated that I rarely let him see me cry. Sorry buddy, but you're going to have to keep talking to get to me. It's not working. He cried a lot...when he was at fault for something. I sat with my Mom when she cried. As soon as someone is crying in pain, I won't even allow myself to cry either. I'll just want to comfort them. So that stops my tears. My Mom also cried a lot because of my Dad. My Aquarius sister even cries more than I do. We'll be talking and she'll start crying about whatever is bothering her. I'll just make her laugh. I only cry when I haven't seen her in a long time. She's my best friend.

I get excited about things, I don't get emotional most of the time though. As far as arguing due to being emotional.. Nah I really have to be pushed beyond a breaking point otherwise my instinct is to leave. I am only sensitive when I feel like I hurt someone's feelings.

I know some cry baby ass crazy Libras. And when I was younger it was so hard for me to communicate that if people pushed me and didn't respect my space when I ran away to my cave, i'd explode all over the place. I'm not sure what changed all that. Wisdom from all the bullshit I guess. Anger is easier to control. I was a terrible teenager lol

Yea that was my point not all signs relate to what u read about i know some non emotional water signs too and earth and fire shrugs cant base everything on astrology etc. I assumed years ago air sings was all laid back chill detach etc then met Aquarius gemini libras who were extremely violent emotional sensitive crazy...all signs can be emotional just got look at their other placements nd upbringing

I know some cancers who arent nurturing or loyal from what u read in the books we cant assume . Also emotional doesnt just mean crying lol u can be emotional to react and be sensitive change ur emotions one min happy next sad next crazy next u want peace then war thats emotional

Sounds like me. I'm a bit fragile but threaten that and I could blow up and ruin everything as a defense mechanism.

After a blow up I withdraw and recharge. I can emotionally deplete myself if I invest feelings in the wrong place.

Im like the same. I feel like i can be overly emotional at times which cause me to withdraw my emotions all together sometimes. Its more of an all or nothing situations when it comes to my emotions

Going to be blunt here, I'm sure you're as emotional as you are feminine. It's almost like you're another Hollyhock. You mustn't feel too proud of yourself because you write all these self-pitying threads. Also, this inclusion of others (Libras) to justify character flaws you have is only proof how low your self-esteem is. Omg when i say something negative about libras, I'm trying to prove my negative traits, then when i ask about libras actually being emotional and having feelings i get a comment saying that my self esteem is low.. Lmaooooo Omg i feel like a celebrity, because you must read up on my posts a lot. You constantly make general sweeping statements about Libras that are wrong. I think your lifestyle preference has a lot to do with you being emotional. I think El Tigre was harsh but some of things he was stating were right. You are not the LIbra guru, none of us are. You do not speak for all Libras and it seems like you are a KNOW IT ALL! It feels disrespectful that you don't preference your statements with "some Libras" . You are not the Libra guru, your experiences don't quantify all LIbras. Now the other signs commenting on the so-called emotional LIbras they know, they could be saying anything to prove a point. But I am paying attention to the LIbra suns, without water placements. Water suns... of course they are emotional and their air placements obviously is not strong enough to stop their emotions.

maybe we all should just be ourselves no matter what and enjoy life and embrace our sensitivities - if there is a habit we don't like about ourselves we can change it a bit or try to reason with it and compromise ... someone said "only love and death change things in life" all else remains the same ... let's just be who we are and love ourselves for our differences - it's what makes us special ...
