Lena, I do know what you mean. I've heard adults cuss just as badly as adults, and yet adults maintain that it's all the teens. I know from personal experience that teens get less respect form adults and that adults often disregard their opinions automatically (especially if they are differing oppinions) because they say that they are not old enough to understand what they are talking about, regardless on whether or not the teen has spent months researching the particular topic at hand. This is something else that pisses me off.

However, I don't think that suzy is being that way, I just think she doesn't like anyone who uses that kind of language, regardless of who it is.

Suzy, I think you should at least apologize a little for blaming lena for her freind's prank.

so what she called me is okay? it was just a "joke" so what if she used the words that i used, would it be the same way? Is it because everyone suspects those words are like most terrifying because its used as something forceful to this day? I agree with the not censoring, but there is something else involved here, and it is called taste or class. I dont think that is seen too much today. You seem to have a very good head on your shoulders and Luz does too. Luz you know I am VERY fond of you and I think the world of you, and I have expressed that you are just about my favorite person on this board. So if that means anything to you then take it for whatever its worth.

And I dont know about anyone else but I am very impressed when I hear anyone even comedians today being funny and expressing themselves and can do an entire program without once using the 'F' word. I think it shows class and I have alot of respect for people that can do that!

Just a thought! Respect is one of those things that must be given before it is received! Think about it...

Case in point...I have always treated my daughter with respect. She is going to be 15 in a few months...and guess what? She respects me!

Too often, adults expect respect from teens, but, they do not think they have to give respect to the teens! Where did this kind of thinking come from? The dark ages?? It just doesn't work...
The adult must show the respect first in order to get any respect...

Completely unrelated but interesting:
I had this dream that it was judgement day and all the angels were flying out and taking people to god to be judged. When the people stood before god, god pretended he was the devil. God told them all that they had to pledge themselves to him, the devil, or suffer an eternity of torture and pain. The people were really scared, so they thought "anything to get out of here" and they pledged themselves to god, thinking that he was the devil. Then god said "Ha!!! Fools and traiters!!!" and told them all that he was really god, and not the devil, but because they had just pledged themselves to the devil, they were going to suffer an eternity of pain and torture any way. And then I woke up.

I think it show strength and character to go up against a gang and not be persuaded by pressure. Peer pressure is a very hard thing to over come. It takes a strong mind and strong will. People want so much to be liked and fit in that they are willing to adapt to anything, even if it is not in their best intrest or being true to themselves.

OK, keep thinking and asking those great questions, but remember that all those deep philisophical truths you are pondering can be used in two ways.
