Admiration vs. Respect

Can one exist without the other?

What is the difference between the two, to you?

Respect goes way deeper for me. Admiration can be entirely shallow.

opposite sides of the same coin to me??_..usually when I admire someone theres love mixed in and they have some traits that i want for myself??_??_.if I respect someone theres not really love involved which is why i use love and respect together sometimes in a sentence??_..

when I think of respect it goes deep??_..then I think of admiration it goes up ascending like someone you admire is on stage or you admire god??_..and with respect its like you respect the devil, its not that u like him but you respect the fact that he could fuck you up like a shark or a lion??_??_I don't know its the feels I get with the word association??_..I like talking about this stuff

For me admiration is someone that has traits I like or aspire to instill in myself. Respect means they have already proved they have the same values and traits that are similar to mine. Also, someone that does stuff intentionally to cause undue harm or pain to another gets neither admiration or respect.

Simpler way of explaining it: Admiration comes naturally, respect is earned.

I have my admirers on DXP but I'm not sure they respect me LOL
