It's very one sided, and boring, my life is multifaceted and has many ups and downs, I do observe a lot and have a lot of special moments that only I see and have absolutely no way of explaining to another person, it's just life's syncronicities on display, such is life.

I do go through bouts of thinking the way you do, alone and sitting on the outside looking in and altogether just super emo.

Lol I don't think that is your purpose at all, maybe you feel that way from time to time but it's definitely not your purpose. We all have a special purpose on here, including you, and watching other people be happy is not yours. I've been through a lot in my short life and I know for a fact that my purpose here on earth is to help other people in some capacity. I wouldn't have been tested with certain things if it weren't the case. I'm here to learn from my negative experiences and help other people with the knowledge I gain from them. It's weird because I'm very success-oriented and kind of materialistic so I have to give that up and out other people first in this lifetime.
Thank you

I feel like my purpose in life is to witness others happiness but not to experience it. Does anyone else feel this way? Do you think that is a bad purpose in life?
You are just at a low point, I've been there. But I can assure that this is not your purpose love. You will discover it, or it will discover you. Be patient 😄

I've had times of feeling like that. I think there's a purpose in it connected to the fact that witnessing other people's happiness provides evidence that people can be happy. So it may not feel hopeful at first, when comparing other's experiences to your own, but in a small and growing way it can be encouraging and open up a question about what small thing might make you feel a tiny bit of happiness (to start with) and then help you build on that until you're feeling content at least.

But it's true that happiness isn't a permanent state, as much as I wish that it was. Over time I've learned to handle the sad times I go through better so I don't lose hope that I'll one day feel happy again.

Are u an aqua? A woman?
Yes I am.
Well I guess, maybe that's something with the Aqua (female)?

I have some friends, aquas, I'm talking about the females and they have the exact thing as u do.

I would say, as a Gem, I do feel that way too, infact most of the times. I'm wondering if this is a thing about us the air signs cos my sister, a libra has got the same issue.

Idk...maybe yes maybe not... ¯¯

@seraph I have felt this way for some time. I still feel it's my purpose. Not looking to feel down about it trying to find a way to embrace it.

I've been there ..
I used to resent the Creator, I sure have indulged in self-pity, experienced depression etc

only to realize happiness or at least being satisfied with life is more of a choice than the result of having many of your expectations being fulfilled
if you have your basic needs (food, shelter, clothing) met and have a few people you can interact with, then you -IMHO- have what's needed to be satisfied .. unless you're living in a toxic environment with no way out, dealing with PTSD and other things I can't think of atm

not to sound corny but you have to think of yourself as a diamond in the making

(- aww, that's so sweet 🙂
- I know, I know .. I'm not sweet tho, I just have my nice guy moments)

@seraph I have felt this way for some time. I still feel it's my purpose. Not looking to feel down about it trying to find a way to embrace it.
Then there's no problem. 🙂

You're exactly where you need to be.

Let's look at this for a moment:

"I feel like my purpose in life is to witness others happiness but not to experience it."

Now let's take out the inessentials (don't bother with "purpose" – that ensues on its own, when it wants, and you won't even realize it's a "purpose"; and don't worry about the transient states that others experience [these states come and go], and don't even worry about "experiences") which leaves us with:

"life is to witness."

There is no idleness or stagnation here, just a vast spaciousness in which you're free. Activity continues, things keep getting done, inspiration can ensue. But these things can't own you, and they can't touch that place of witnessing.

Keep staying as the Witness, and understand that even the witnessing itself is witnessed – even *that* is perceived. And go find out for yourself whether this place of ultimate witnessing requires happiness, whether it requires joy, whether it requires literally any feeling or state. It knows and needs no feeling or state – yet they can all happen in this spaciousness, but they can't own you. All there is here is equanimity and imperturbability. Everything else is changeful as a matter of course, but this place is not. Don Miguel Ruiz refers to this as "immunity in the middle of hell", that is, allowing your sense of personal identity (the ideas we have about ourselves) to a) be recognized as fundamentally illusory, and to b), allow these ideas to rest; not run from them, but to pay them no special attention, neither preferring nor avoiding.

When you engage in this discovery, you'll find something much greater and much more permanent than states of feeling and emotion that come and go (most of which are tied inexorably to external, phenomenal conditions having to be a certain way.)

No, fuck witnessing other people being happy, that's not your purpose.

You're just an Aquarius, rare in your tastes, so it may take a bit longer for you, and women of your sign in general, to find the right one :-)

I also noticed, among my peers, that all of a sudden (since December) we are all geared towards Aquarius.

Maybe tiziani can help us with some sort of astrological explanation; personally I have no clue, I just know I keep meeting them, maybe they're just coming out of their shells during their season.
