i saw that and i thought, so many many people are passing away.

Sadly, it's part of aging. Those that are part of our younger years are also older. It's not going to stop, unless they sort out how for all of us to be immortal.

He does have immortality of a sort. His music still lives on and will survive in one form or another.

At least until some young musician finds it, decides to do a cover of it, and makes a hack job out of it

they all passed away before their time, because they were still young enough to live longer. I think they chose to live their life according to how they wanted though.
