No problem. I could list a lot but, the thing that gets me up in the morning is that I have full reign of my department and what I do during the day. Plus, I have a huge office with a wall to wall window. I have to remind myself of this when I hit the snooze button for the third time.

I have a home and a bed to go to sleep in.
I have some fantastic close friends in my life.

Alright, too much drama all the time...let's just keep this thread positive πAll I'm asking is for you to name ONE (or more if you want) thing that was a positive in your day. I'm hoping this helps everyone realize how many GOOD things are in their life...no matter how hard it is to see those things.
To start it off I'm going to say...
I appreciate that my boss asked me if I needed to go home after seeing that I wasn't feeling well. I sometimes feel like she can't empathize with people, this helped me see that she's a human as well and that she does have emotions and is more observant than I originally thought.
Also, i'm happy that I ate ice cream for lunch...adutling bitches.
I think I make the same impression on people. It's a fine line sometimes because I really love and am consumed by the work. However, I'm very observant.
It's creepy when I catch them in my peripheral looking at me when the think I'm not looking.

No, I don't think I hide anything that well lol. I know she knows when I'm not happy with her...I'm a fairly transparent person when it comes to how I feel about someone.

I had an employee cry because she thought I thought she was incompetent. I don't think along those lines. I just want to build up strengths and minimize weaknesses. Ironically, she gets arrogant sometimes. I'm still analyzing everyone.

Do you empathize with your boss?
Nah, she's the right person... It's just the typical fantasy before the new boss arrives. They get their feelings hurt when they discover you actually know what you're doing. She's not aware but, I've decided to groom her to take my place as I target my next move.

I can't say I totally empathize with her - I don't know her well enough to say that. I keep a low profile at work because I don't want to get caught up in pointless drama. That being said, I'm an observant person myself and although we may not have many conversations, I'm not dumb - I pick up on things quite quickly. As a human she's a very nice lady. She has a lot to say but also knows how to listen...something not everyone knows how to do. What I don't like is that she seems to have problems letting outside, personal problems infiltrate her mind while at work and this creates a not-so-happy work environment for everyone. That's all just my perception though. I can tell she's a good person deep down...she may just have too much stress in her life right now.

Speaking of family members...the older I get the more I realize I need to squash whatever came in between my father and I. It's been years since we spoke last, hardly acknowledge each other when in the same space. But kickass! Good things I'm hearing, I love it! π

That's a shame she's got personal issues. Home is supposed to build you up in preparation for the outside world. Seems like she's trying.

Yeah she's got a lot on her plate right now. I'm a pretty firm believer in "life only puts you through what you can handle" though so I know she'll pull through.
Speaking of introverts...I'm an extrovert (mostly, I think i'm actually an ambivert but whatevs) and one of my closest and longest friends is an introvert and the only reason we're friends is cause I pestered her so much in our 6th grade social studies class...π
