This really wasn't about Trump. It's about the misery of the people who live in Syria. People that are being put through horrific experiences merely because they got the shit end of the stick when it came to location of birth.
We're so quick to choose war as solutions, not ever contemplating the long term effects and aftermath, once the dust has settled. We are so programmed to think it's "just what needs to be done" that we sit thousands of miles away and justify to ourselves the carnage, because we don't have to live it.

This is my only concern. White hat operation;the timing of the gassing doesn't fit the reasons we're being given. Deep state has been gunning for Assad and war with Russia a little too enthusiastically.
The only thing to do is wait and see what happens next.
I've read that Russia has made statements to tue effect that they can't support Syria unconditionally, and also that Russia was warned by us (prob our SOS) ahead if time so that their personnel could clear the area.

Tensions between who? Russia was warned and evacuated personnel before the strike. The Syrians were also warned. No casualties.
It's an act of war, casualties or not.

And what was destroyed? An illegal cache of chemical weapons.
No one is going to back Syria if they try to retaliate (which I doubt is going to happen). Trump has pretty widespread support for *this* action. For what (if anything) comes next, that's a different story.

I don't disagree with the action. I disagree with cutting programs like meals on wheels and spending 70+ million dollars on ONE ACTION.

This really wasn't about Trump. It's about the misery of the people who live in Syria. People that are being put through horrific experiences merely because they got the shit end of the stick when it came to location of birth.We're so quick to choose war as solutions, not ever contemplating the long term effects and aftermath, once the dust has settled. We are so programmed to think it's "just what needs to be done" that we sit thousands of miles away and justify to ourselves the carnage, because we don't have to live it.
"They're killing and gassing their people. Let's go in a start a war to show them we don't fuck around with killing innocent people".
I don't have the answers, but I'm concerned that not everyone finds the current answers to be quite fucked.

but why don't they warn the innocent citizens to evacuate!!? and leave Syria.
is the purpose of bombing...is to bomb people? and not the empty buildings?

thinking on this.....war is a "SYMBOLIC" image....the bombing is a symbolism. and conquering.like placing a brand on an animal's skin, "this is mine! territory" and i'll eat the cattle when and where I want.
because symbolisms have nothing to do with feelings and thinking of human lives.
I haven't been following this too much but from what I understand, the target was a military base where chemical weapons were stored. Both the Russian and Syrian government were warned of the attack beforehand so people could be evacuated.
The intent was to destroy the chemical weapons and to send a message, not to kill people.
Again, It's hard for me to have an opinion on this because I haven't been following closely.
