Truthfully though I have no idea. I can understand eye candy and relating it to sex appeal but there needs to be something else there for me to truly be attracted.

Geez! This is hard to describe! It doesn't even matter what they wear or how they look like. It's their aura. Some magnetic force about them that makes you notice them and not just notice them, that feeling lasts. You never grow tired of it. I too had a crush on Edward Scissorhand. It had nothing to due with Johnny Depp because at the time I was so young I was not even aware of who he was, but the character Edward Scissorhand had this innocence and awkwardness about him that made him mystic. I remember wishing to be Kim.

Theres no one way to define sex appeal as previous posters have said. What I find sexy about one person will be different for the next. However, I am not easily attracted to whats obviously beautiful.

I don't know that it's something I can actually define. It's a culmination of so many variables and complex emotions; not really something that's set in stone either. I guess if I were to try and list some of those qualities, it'd be quiet confidence, modest, polite, easygoing, reserved... sometimes it can be the calm and cool manner/tone in which he speaks, the warmth or glint in his eyes, or something as simple as the way he moves/walks.

Basically, it's a 'know it when I see it' sort of thing, which is dependent on the overall aura that the person exudes as well as chemistry.

Confidence, drive/ambition & DEPTH.
