I am totally with @BaeMax.
I have NO idea why but spending on clothes, shoes and other crap comes naturally gilt-free to me.
Vanity - can’t waste a dime except I looove Brazilian and that’s gets spent on.
Nails and hair - I do not need an effort. I can do it myself.
But hon, you seem like you are a financially savvy and married and you WANT to spend on yourself. So you must have!!!
I don’t want to! That’s different.
You want to feel that pampering - so just do it!
Enjoy!

A problem of mine. I feel guilty when I spend on myself. You know how some women get regular manicure, pedicure (even sns nails), hair dye, eyelash extensions etc. I don't. Lol I always think the money is better saved or spent on something for the family. My only regular self care expense is my gym membership. I'm very low maintenance. I use Korean products on my skin and so far I don't have wrinkles at my age.
Now, 50% of my salary goes to savings, 50% goes to expenses like food and other extras that the family needs.
This month, I'm only going to be able to save a small amount from my salary because I have my Christmas party soon and I felt like I want to get my hair dyed, my eyebrows laminated and I bought a new dress, jewelry plus presents for my husband and sister. I don't know why but I feel guilty doing this. It's so weird because I was so good in saving all year. And in 12 mos, this is the only time I'll be spending on my hair, eyebrows etc.
Anyone feel the same? How do you not feel guilty spending on yourself?
Unless you have a financial goal I think 50% is too much to put aside, you work very hard you should definitely reward yourself not splurge, I used to also save that much off my salary but once I achieved my goal, I laid back a little bit and started taking care of myself, I'm not saying I don't save anymore I do but only for emergencies, and I spend on myself within reason, but i make sure I earn that.click to expand

How is this ‘too much’ and ‘you deserve’?
Are you serious?
Apparently your splurging because your ‘deserved’ self pampering doesn’t pay off does it?
Yes I'm seriousclick to expand

Have you realized that you meddling in someone’s business telling them how to invest in their future for their family financial stability?
I'm sure she's wise enough to know what's best for her, I gave my opinion cause she asked, she doesn't have to take it. And I didn't tell her to splurge read my comment again, I only said she deserves to take care of herself cause she obviously works hard, and there's no need to feel guilty about it.click to expand

I’ve always noticed Gems and Aqua having a hard time spending money…especially on themselves🤔🤔🤔

I’m on a journey rn where I try really hard not to guilt myself. I’ve gone a long ways depriving myself and I’m done with that. I’ve taken care of someone else for so long, I stopped taking care of myself—I didn’t even know what I liked anymore! Making a secret Santa wishlist was even difficult lol but you know what, I work hard for it so I’m going to enjoy it. I can want a lot of things, but I only bring myself to buy the things I absolutely love. That’s always helped me not to overspend. I rarely have anything in my closet anymore that I don’t love, which is how I like it. I just don’t like accumulating too much stuff. If I don’t need or love something, I’m not buying for myself.

Balance is key. I get what you mean tho because if I compare myself to others I have no desire to pay someone to do my nails or hair or spend money on brand name shit. But I be spending on massages, and plants, and random ass shit. It all evens out I believe. As long as you are meeting your financial goals a little splurge now and then can't hurt. After all, us women be shoppin lol lean into the stereotype.

Nope. Money is to be spent, I won't take them to my grave or leave them to others.
This being said, I've been to friseur or nail salon or gym only a handful of times in my entire life. I'm just a short nails, soap and water, rebellious mane, DIY, low maintenance kind of woman in expensive clothes, surrounded by beautiful things and planning my next holidays while eating gourmet dinner.

Yeah. This year have been great as far as saving. I agree that 50% is too much but my mindset has put me in a spot where I want to feel safe like if we have any job loss for example. We have one child (we're one and done basically) and I think my mind constantly shifts into do I spend $ 150 on eyelash extensions and $ 500 on my hair when I can book a cabin for the family with that money for an overnight stay. Or I can also spend it to take the family out for a nice lunch or dinner. Or I can just put the same amount in the savings account. I wouldn't bat an eyelid to spend on a car for example, because we need a vehicle to get around (we have one car that's how thrifty we are and saving on rego every year lolol) and I'd spend on a nice leather bag that I know I will use for years. I didn't mind spending on laser treatments because they last years and years.click to expand

Only time I feel guilty about spending on myself is around Xmas cause all this stuff is on sale and I'm suppose to be buying gifts for other people and not myself.
But I don't have kids so I am free to spend my own money on myself.

Yeah. I want to feel beautiful. Like one of those Instagram women with dyed hair, long fancy nails and some eyelash extensions with perfect eyebrows. I know it might sound weird but I'm just totally feeling like I want to "experience" it. To be fair, it's quite expensive for something that will only last few weeks! I am feeling your thrill!
Meeting Virgo changed my run with men who don’t care about appearance (Scorpio and Aries) and I am having my nails done and all 9 yards of the vanity…
However IF I couldn’t do most of it - HE would be the one paying for it!
Every time my daughter spends $ 350 on her hair - I am having a heart attack and thinking - it is pair of designer shoes!!! 😂😂😂
Please find out how much the whole business and post it!
Do it! You might hate it after all but you’ll cure your craving and be free from doubts.
Can’t wait for your report! 👍click to expand

It's weird but I feel I'm overdoing it if I'm paying for services like nail salon, eyelash extensions etc. because they are services that don't last years 🤣 I would love to feel beautiful after these services but me calculating the amount in my head is driving me nuts! I buy luxury brands once in a while and in fact, at the moment I have a bag being made for me by an Italian artisan. But it's something I can justify the cost because I know I'd be using it in the next 10 years or so. I'm just weird I guess 🤣click to expand

Once you get use to of spending on yourself that’s when the guilt stops . I love spending on myself. But then I am in check. I may spend more on hair and pedicures. I don’t like to buy expensive or designer products but that’s only because I am not into them and neither into showing off brands. But I do like to buy quality products for myself . When I am overdoing it I do feel guilty .
I'm just weird I guess 🤣
No that’s not weird. It totally depends on what makes you happy. I am not into luxury brands because in my mind I am calculating if I can travel with that money or little added to it.click to expand
