These articles got me thinking about it-
http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/sep/04/why-are-the-baby-boomers-desperate-to-make-us-millennials-hate-ourselves

http://www.salon.com/2014/10/20/baby_boomers_ruined_america_why_blaming_millennials_is_misguided_and_annoying/

http://www.phillymag.com/news/2013/12/13/baby-boomers-worst-generation/

My grandma discussed this with me one time. She honestly said that baby boomers in her mind are the worst generation, especially if she calls her own a son a waste of time and money when you send him to college in Oregon and he does nothing but party and flunk ever class and get sent back home. The question remained where did my grandma and grandpa go wrong at with him? Then she hoped I never end up like him, but she was a bit un-optimistic as she said that her son's generation pretty much fucked up everything for generation x, y, through z. What do you think? I honestly don't know. I'm still deciding

Personally I feel our millennial generation will the the worse. Baby boomers are our parents right? Basically those who are in the line up for president now correct?

Heres how the presidential election will go for our generation.

Candidate 1, You're just a big bag of dick is all you are. You donkey raping shit eater.

(Crowd laughs)

Candidate 2, You're just a lying conniving cunt bag you bitch faced uncle fucker.

(Crowd gasps)

Announcer, The fuckery in this room is real. Stay tuned, for the only way to truly figure out the best president is a death match. A death match in the game Mario Kart.

There was a larger amount of divorces from the baby boomer generation. Now and days most of the X, Y and Z generations don't even get married. They just fk each other and have kids. Mom keeps the kids while dad pays child support.

Yeah I see that happening far too often. But for me, I wanna stay from doing that. Otherwise I'd pretty much go out on a limb and commit suicide and homicide with no note. I at least wanna have a marriage by the time I'm 40, and no kids and until there's a mutual agreement.

I don't think that way about baby boomers and I'd argue that we shouldn't see it in those terms...as in which generation os worse.

The reason being that lessons, both good/bad and seen and unseen; are passed along and success as well as mistakes are amplified with each new generation.

Like now, viewing things from a comparative/competitive perspective is something that came about recently and didn't originate with baby boomers.

You have to look at the overall affect. Like millenials, you all
are arguably the most intelligent and innovative, but like a house has a foundation...it starts early and progresses.

Yea spank a kid and social services be at your door. Kids get everything they wanted handed to them on a silver platter rather trying to go get it themselves. To many pedophiles today. People get offended by everything. The list goes on.

Try telling that my mom and my sister. They never gave a damn. They'd spank you right in front of em and dare em to take their kids away.

Millenials are the worse. That is my generation. The recession has taught this generation many harsh lessons. The next 10 years will be important as we will have to lead and make important decisions.

I believe we will instill a more moral form of captilism (I hope).

The internet has allowed more social consciousness and many polls have us as the most socially conscious gen so that is a plus.

Proud member of Generation X here.

The last generation to know what it's like to play outdoors, socialize with other people, develop a sense of manners, spend time with The Greatest Generation (as our Grandparents), watch politically incorrect films and TV shows, enjoy the best toys and animated shows (1980s), and so forth.

The reason why most other generations despise Millennials is for a variety of reasons. What's laughable is how nasty Millenials are toward each other. Their nihilism and inclinations toward selfish behavior usually means they care about no one, not even their own.

The fact that they cannot utter a sentence without saying Fuck every other word is why most of us adults do not take them seriously.

Can I be a Gen Xer? That would sound fun. I like politically incorrect, it's more fun and enjoyable than listening to politically correct jerkoffs.

Sure, but you have to understand that the politically incorrect stuff I refer to is made up of classics.

The Rocky films, for example, were filmed with the actors actually hitting (and in most cases hurting) each other.

Stallone also nearly killed himself and nearly froze into a state of hypothermia while filming First Blood.

The original Mad Max 2 film featured stunts that ended up sending the actors and stunt men to the hospital on a daily or weekly basis.

Red Dawn, Die Hard and Conan The Barbarian are also excellent.

These kinds of films usually make the politically correct losers out there scream like a bunch of girls at the mere mention of them.

Hehehe I love Die Hard. Even though I think Die Hard with a Vengeance was nearly the best. Red Dawn would make me consider World War III in modern times if the Russians invaded. And for the last "I HAVE THE POWERRRRR!"

The Boomers, for all the good that came from them, negated it all by saddling the rest of us with insurmountable debt.

Gen X, Y, and Millennials will be lucky if they are able to retire......ever.

Millennials are just insufferable, whiny, selfish, lazy, do-nothing turds. But if you are having issues with your iPhone, they can troubleshoot it pretty well and get you back on track.

Hey CapTenn you're back man. Good to see you. As for that, yeah I can say a lot of my gen is pretty whiny and insufferable and can hate most of them for caring a little too much for goes on, on Facebook or Twitter or whatever. tbh in a way I think Social media distracts us from the real joys of life. Look at the people who post shit on Fb every 5 minutes, like do they honestly have nothing better to do? But as far as my gen, I would ask the Silent geners and the Greatest gens if they thought Baby boomers were insufferable pricks in the 1970's who went around having unprotected sex, getting high, shooting up H, snorting snow, being rebellious and hating your parents for no reason. Yeah I should ask that. lol. Sall good.

Yep, previous generations hated Boomers to be sure. I think it's pretty normal to think that way.

As quality of life improves, we spoil our youth, and create these little monsters.

It's really our fault. But nonetheless, get off your asses Millenials. Cut the fucking yard, rake some leaves, load the dishwasher.....DO SOMETHING!!! LOL

This again?
I'm wondering now which generation is more of a conceited attention whore.
Boomers vs Gen Y?

Gen Xers do come off really smug when they say they were the last generation playing outside. Though I suppose since their generation was when the whole "latch-key" thing took off. Mom and Dad worked all the time (if they weren't divorced), so you had to do all the chores and play outside AND homework, without being told, right?

Also naturally this is western countries crying about how the youth didn't grow up with the same hardship they did. To be honest, I wouldn't give any generation that much credit of being the worst. Shoot, compared to generations BEFORE the World Wars, all of us look like spoiled brats.

I'm a Gen X-er. I think you both suck. Lol I kid.

One generation isn't any better than the other. Millennials are the products of the way they were raised. When I hear the older generations harping on the millennials I'm reminded of how these children were parented. A majority of Millennials were never expose to the discipline that former generations were subject to. I think the standards are just different.

Personally, I don't have anything against the millennial. I've met good and bad.

I remember people harping on youngsters of my era....and a friend saying that we were the "lost' generation. lol

Each age is unique unto itself, growing and changing in a shifting world, only to give way to give way to it's successor.
Exactly parents were way to chillax, but many of these kids are simply demons from hell and spoiled either way with high expectations.

Hey maybe the boomers were just as insufferable and whiny when they were growing up in the 60's and 70's. I mean a good majority of them were hippies, potheads, and radical angry leftists. Lol

The millennials are stupid because they are basically 1960s retreads (only their rebellion is without purpose, meaning or justification).

They run around consuming large amounts of drugs and shunning conventional relationship norms, thinking they are original, when they are essentially running the dopehead playbook from 1969.

I am grateful to be Gen X'er, because we are also the last generation to know the happiness and satisfaction that comes from a healthy, monogamous relationship.

So what does that make Baby boomers? I think if I can recall from a certain form of media a person said that they were the ones who started it all. A question is what were the boomers rebelling against besides Vietnam? And technically Boomers were taking a large amount of drugs namely Heroin and coke and a shit ton of grass. Then again what does make Gen Xers? Aren't they just as promiscuous and quick to shun conventional relationships? Considering they got it from their boomer parents if likely.

The Gen X kids I grew up with were all part of the JUST SAY NO Generation, a decision of which I am enormously proud. The cognitive damage alone from drugs is enough to make me think twice, thank you very much.

Gen X kids, for the most part, came of age during the 1980s. The 80s kids, as we are often referred to, know what relationships are because we were often considered "cool" to have girlfriends and other norms going for us.

The 1960s era boomers and millennials are joined at the hip in terms of rebellion, heavy drug consumption, defiance and vapid sex. Such paths usually end up in misery and squalor.

The boomers, on the other hand, finally got their shit together in the late 70s and early 80s and eventually followed culturally accepted norms, got married and established families.

I see no such future for millennials, as their collective narcissism and nihilism knows no boundaries.

They are, in a word, hopeless.

I wouldn't be that pessimistic. If the baby boomers made a turn when they came of age in the early 80's then hopefully by the late 2020's most millenials will come to terms and grow the fuck up and not do what the boomers did with their finances. And be financially responsible. But it'll be a while.

It has more to do with how the western world values youth above age.

The prior generations may have fucked up, but there's wisdom to be had in those fuck ups. Most older folks will gladly share their mistakes and what they would have done given what they know now.

It's us to the younger generations to set aside ego for a bit and listen and consider.
