To make a long story short, and this is the truth, I ended up surrendering them back to the animal shelter.

Well, you being an awful person isn't of any relevance to this debate. I have a problem with people who take animals from shelters and then take them back.

1. Cats shed hair-Cats will shed hair all over your house and it is just about impossible to get rid of it..they even get hairballs and spit it out all of the place. Soon hair will be flying in your food and you will be spitting up hair also. .

Cats scratch your furniture up and tear up everything you have- You will end up spending more money to replace furniture. God help you if you have leather in your home. Putting big blankets over your furniture wont help either because they will tear it off with their nails. Don't even bother getting your cat declawed because it is expensive, and causes severe pain and health problems not to mention infections. Basically you are amputating a bone and if you love your pet you would never do this.

Cats stink and they dont like taking baths. Don't rely on them to lick themselves and clean themselves.

^^This is not the truth. Maybe the environment was stinking? I know a lot of cat owners, it ain't happening.

4. Cats Jump up all over the place and walk every where after they have walked around in poop from their litter box. It is also bad for you to inhale all those feces while cleaning their litter box.

^^They don't really walk around in poop, they're obsessive with taking everything off their paws before they get out of the litter.

Cats are very affectionate and they will cling to you and leave you feeling guilty anytime you leave them home alone causing you emotional strains everyday.

^^The comic is being narrated from an objective standpoint. It isn't the owner??s opinion, or Odie or Garfield. It naturally showcases the dynamic between dogs and cats.

The story is told through Garfield's thoughts. Thoughts are subjective.

It's not told from Garfield's perspective but the one of a bystander. We'll have to agree to disagree on this.
