Himalayan Salt Lamp Appreciation Thread

@nevermore here ya go! i guess people can share their experiences with these lamps here. I just got my first one and so far I LOVE IT. I keep examining it and feeling it. I'm very tactile and I love rocks and such so my hands are drawn to the texture and cracks of it. it gives off a pleasant rose glow and warmth. I'm not quite sure what all the lamps are supposed to help with besides the little bit of reading I've done online. I just enjoy alternative health therapies and remedies so this seemed right up my alley! I plan on getting a smaller one for the bedroom (I have this one on the desk in the bedroom bc its new but i bought the large one for the living room/kitchen) and they even have a nightlight one for my bathroom! i took a pic of this one next to a water bottle for scale and next to my new kitty mug, well, bc it's my new kitty mug and i wanted to share (it has EARS!!) lol any thoughts?

I've been thinking about these, I've read great things but would love to hear y'alls feedback.

looks like it would go well with a cloud lamp:

Mine kept spreading crystals over furniture and destryoing anything wooden. I put it on a metal stand so it seems to have stopped

thanks for the info! luckily I moved to NorCal from the south so humidity isn't too big of a thang here most of the year. hope mine does well! **crosses fingers**

I'm starting to get more succulents around the house too. I love the fun textures, sizes, shapes, and colors they come in!! just working on making our environment even more pleasant! luckily I live with another earth sign so he's usually down for beautifying the place. ? plus he's a Virgo so we look at organization porn together LOL

Its nice, the effect is a little like an air ionizer, and gives the perception of a warm feeling when the weather is colder.

The trick is finding replacement rocks.

I have one next to my bed and I absolutely love it, but my stingy flatmate/landlord (he's the tightest ass you could ever meet) replaced the bulb with a low energy one. Is it true that the benefits are only activated through the bulb's heat?

well if the bulb isnt producing much heat, it's probably not cleaning out the positively charged air as much I'm guessing... mine has a dimmer switch which i love so i can set the intensity. it's been such a pleasant addition!! i haven't gotten a second YET so mine has been traveling back and forth with me from the living room to my bedside and back lol

I will admitt - I haven't read the post but 'relationship! With lamp seems more than I can handle!
