Now I know what you're thinking. "Soul, who da fuck cares about your kayak?"

I do. I love the water, fishing and everything about those things. I hate working out however, so what better way to ge motivated? I'll just work out while I kayak in an environment I truly love.

But here's the thing, it's my motivation to start losing weight. For years now I've wanted one, but now I'm at a disgusting obese weight of 270. The weight capacity for the kayak is 250. So I can even use it yet. That is until I lose 20 pounds, and then I'll lose more by going out to kayak and walking regularly.

Today I went out and walked 2 miles. I know 2 miles doesn't sound like much, but for an obese 270 6'1 male it was. The path I went also had major hills. At the start of the day I was at 270. I'm not weak because I work daily laying tile, so I power walked basically. When I got home I weighed myself again I was at 267! Already making progress!

Thinking foam blocks

You mean... tying the kayak to the top of your convertible?

😕

I hope I'm wrong.... that's just the mental picture I got.

If not.... you're my hero.

2 miles is 2 miles you didn't walk before! It doesn't matter if its 1 mile, 1/2 a mile any excersise is a thumbs up dude!

Don't get discouraged, you will hit bad spots and not drop a pouund... dont do the scale watch. that can discourage you more than anything.

My trainer had to pound it into my head that i was self sabotaging when i would weigh myself every day. do it once a week.

Brah...not enough room for beer.

My sit-on-top can hold like..a case and ice.

That compartment in the back comes out, and is waterproof so you can put somthing in its place and drag it in the water, or not even bring it.

My issue is how I'm going to haul it solo lol.

That euphoric and motivational feeling you had while walking/after walking? Bottle it up! It's what will give you strength on the harder days when you begin to doubt yourself or judge yourself for not making the progress you expected to make.

Your kayak is awesome, and you're hardcore for doing what you need to do to experience life as you want to.

Keep it up! #Badass 👊ðŸ½

Also, for a fun visualization and physical exercise, you can utilize the rowing machines in gyms. 😄
