How life works?

I got an email from an architecture and design firm 2 hours drive from me asking me for an interview after seeing my resume and portfolio I posted almost 2 years ago (before I found my current job) and 1 year after I bought a house.

Anyone else care to share some irony so I don't feel so bad? Ha

Sort of...I always wanted to work for an architecture firm...

Right now I design model homes for a home builder. Its fun, and I love me my job, but it's really not very challenging...more of a get your feet wet type of deal.

I just think it's ironic that now I get that email when I've bought a house and there is no way I'm relocating right now

oooo congratulations in getting your house! my sister and her husband also bought a house this year so i was very happy!!

how about commuting?? if the pay is higher, just commute and sleep over a couple nights at a hotel where it's close by the workplace. Then you go home on the weekends or something.

of course only if the pay is definitely higher to make up for it.

*actually stay in a hotel for a week, since you'd have to work there 5 days a week as an example.
