Karen Carpenter

Such an amazing talent but was battling a terrible depression. Did anybody of you grow up watching her on TV while she was still alive? Was it obvious that she was having a terrible eating disorder?

Her eating disorder if I recall correctly, I was pretty young.

What was it like to live through the 70s? I'm seeing a lot of clothes and hair style s that are out of this world.

Different but I was born in 71, don't recall much of the early years 😆

Parents were hippies and grew pot. Tie dye was huge, bell bottoms too, KISS, black sabbath, zeppelin all the big names in rock music.

I wasn't born then, but my folks would always talk about The Carpenters when I was growing up (their wedding song was "We've Only Just Begun"). That's how I learned about anorexia & other eating disorders.

Yeah I learnt about anorexia the same way. Mum was and is still a big Carpenters fan.

needing other people's love and attention, but something else. not because she didnt get love from the public because she did ...she got ALOT.



there's this empty hole inside them. It may be relating to their childhood. i haven't delved into their childhood.
