I was like, I kind of was offended when you told me "I am a tambay for going on leave from office." I wanted to tell her, I'm already sick and tired of you telling me what I should do in life. If it wasn't because of you, I would have not even wasted so many years trying to make you happy.

And for the record, I am not a tambay. I just wanted a time off from trying to be somebody you want me to be.

She's too prideful. And too determined on proving you wrong which is why you need to leave your mother's wing. She will never realize how much you've accomplished until you leave. She can continue to belittle your achievements because she sees how much you stay by her side. Help from afar by sending her money, but leave. Her negativity will continue to bring you down. I fought with my mother for years because she wanted me to go into the medical field, surprise surprise.
