Nice guy, bad breath - what to do?
This may not matter to some people, but it's a huge turn off to my Taurus moon that loves hygiene and nice smelling things lol

I married a guy with bad breath, and at the end I couldn't even stand him coming near me. In the beginning he was all mints and gum and Altoids - It wasn't so noticeable, for a while, and then we were married and it was just awful, all the time, even right after he brushed. I used to hold my breath while I kissed him. After a certain amount of years I actually believed the bad breath was MINE. When I first kissed someone with clean, fresh breath I couldn't believe it was actually possible. It was like going to a foreign land.
BTW he did everything to combat it but after a few years he just stopped caring, I guess. One day I looked at him and said, doesn't anyone at work every say anything about your breath?
I would say it was awful 89% of the time. It matters, all right. It matters a LOT.

Does he smoke? He gotta stop smoking if he does. If you do a simple google search on how to get rid of bad breath, you'll be able to find answers. Tell him upfront. It'll show you care.

Say sweetie your breath is hot...(just leave it at that don't say it burns your eyes or anything extra)...when was your last dental appointment.
If he cares about you or himself he will set a date for the dentist. If not....he doesn't care.

OP, maybe he's not brushing his teeth properly? I see people on reality shows and on YouTube brushing their teeth and they're not even doing it properly. And they only brush for like 30 seconds. What the fuck?

Tell him that kissing is a big step for you and youre really phobic about peoples saliva which is why you dont make out with randoms because you can smell their breathe in your mouth long after youve kissed, if he.knows this he will be more conscious about his oral hygene.....if it still stinks, move on.

Mint water can help by the way... Simply boil water with added mint leaves, and drink it like a tea... helps detox/clear the body out. I think that might be your best bet. When it comes to bad breath, it's usually a problem with the stomach and excretion; either empty stomach or not excreting toxins.

It does matter so just say something nicely. If its something more serious like an oral condition which produces funky breath all the time, dentists have mouthwashes and such for extreme conditions. The quicker you say something the quicker the bad breath goes away...

I had a Taurus laughing when I told him about his body odor. Now when he asks me things he starts off with, "I know you'll tell me the truth." It's "how" you say it.
Like the wise vixen said, it's not always bad hygiene. A lot of depressed people in my city so I always assume it's depression.
If you don't have the strength of mind to address him head on or indirectly then stop seeing him cause you're only prolonging the enevitable.
Truth is in true libra Mars, Venus form I've been weighing things about this guy.
I needed to figure out if it was even worth me seeing him again, let alone if I wanted to address something like this.
At this point it's been over a week and I've been avoiding him, half because of my figuring the above out and because I have other personal stuff to deal with that takes precedence.
Anyway, I think the interest may be diminishing on his end, maybe both ends; but for sure I have made up my mind that if we hang out again I'll say something. Otherwise I will never be able to even be in his presence anymore. Don't even know where things stand.

I can relate to the marriage thing. This happened to my husband after we married. His teeth started getting bad to the point I couldn't stand kissing him. When we would have sex I'd have to move my face away. It was bad. I started hinting at it but he didn't do anything until I just couldn't take it anymore and during a fight it came out. He is a Cancer so I was trying not to hurt his feelings you know. I finaly made an appointment with my dentist for him and turns out he had an infection or something and some other things going on. He is still working on his mouth. He has diabetes too so that might have something to do with it.
If you're not in love with this guy, and he has rot mouth. Ugh. Good luck to you....
