They omit the I
Instead of I am driving

I know but isn't that learned in grade school?
The people Im referring to know when to put an I so it's not a matter of bad grammar.
Idk but when I write on people's Facebook walls for their birthday or somethin I leave the "I" out because I don't want to make it about me.

But if you texted your mom, you would say I love you mom not love you mom?
The I holds weight to me, it's a declaration.

Some languages eliminate the I out of sentences, part of their grammar. Also I think it's stinking cute that you're an Aries and posting this. ? 'I am.' 😄
Lmaooo
This is very Aries of me
But the people I'm talking about speak English and it's their first language. That's not an American thing.

Lol so nitpicky. And this is coming from the person who views repeated "Iloveyous" as cheap.
I'm sensitive and I pay attention to the subtle things. They mean something to me.
I don't need to hear repeated I love yous, that's wack. But when you do say it, leaving the I off makes it fake to me.

Why am I sensitive?
Isn't the I a little redundant in some cases ?
Idk I don't see the point

They didn't take ownership of the statement.
I makes it personal to me.
And if you just received the same statement with an I why not give it back?
It's almost like the person doesn't want to put them self out there. That's fake.

Aka sometimes you feel like being petty as hell ?
If I was your SO and you started bitching about me dropping the I in I love you I'd honestly want to drive my car off the nearest bridge

lol...I don't think I would say something to them about it, I just keep it in the back of head.

it's hard for me to even say the words "I love you" to anybody let alone put an I on it. with that said I don't see what's the use. like whats the purpose for it or better yet why does it matters.
Why is it hard to tell your love ones you love them?
I don't get it

And college beat it into me that declarative I statements are bad writing as well.Quite often, especially on dxp where there's a broad audience perspective wise, when editing posts I go back and re-write I statements differently.
Where's your Mercury? Degree sign
Scorpio. Idk the degree off the top of my head tho. What's important about the specific degree?

look. I'm gonna be real here. if I tell anybody including my loved ones I love them they would look at me with a stunned look as if they are surprised by those words coming out of my mouth. I usually show my love to them. and if my woman were to ask me if I love her of course I will say yeah. but if she ask me to say it to her, the words just wouldn't come out right for some reason making it sound...yes fake. I much rather show my love and appreciation to anybody rather than talk the words "I love you". just wouldn't sound right coming from my mouth. sorry but that's just how it is.

Actions are good but I wouldn't assume you loved me unless you said so.

I absolutely agree.
Not using "I" is impersonal and non-committal.

Yeah, I usually omit the "I" when I want to be more casual. However, it's not always insincere. I think it really depends on the overall tone and delivery, rather than the actual words.

For instance if you say I miss you and they someone responds with miss you, does that irritate you? Does it hold any meaning to you?It annoys me, it seems fake without the I.
But it can also be fake with the 'I' included...

Of course

Does 'lov' irritates you too for missing e?

My writing style isn't that great, so critiquing another writer would be pointless. It does bother me though, if the writer is worse than me. I won't admit this to the writer though. HahMaybe you should try to understand the reason as to why they write that way, before being annoyed?
If they're lazy then, sure, be annoyed. If they have a learning disability or if they were brought up differently, lacked an educational support system / weren't resilient enough to take it upon themselves to learn how to write then try to be a little more understanding and patient. I admit my writing sucks, but I have a legitimate explanation as to why and my hope is that you would be more understanding and patient even without knowing why communicating isn't my strong point.
It has nothing to do with writing style .

Writing style includes sentence structure and choice of words. Maybe it is a mix of writing style and the essentials. Writing style includes the manner of what you intend to say, whether it's I miss you vs miss you--the way you tell them
you miss them is a 'writing style .'

u know someone can say 'i love you' knowing it will please you. then u just got manipulated
what kind of someone? My loved ones? Why would they want to manipulate me for the sake of it? I've never experienced that.
And anyone else who I know for a fact doesn't love me and vice Versa couldn't manipulate me that way.
So what do you mean?
