I don't have any personal stories, but the general stance is to steer clear. I've heard some creepy stories.

Posted by ImpulsvI heard the only way to get rid of a ouija board is to burn it.
Ok when I was a child n we moved in to my childhood home my mom found one in the attic. She threw it away in the trash only to find it again the next day in the attic.

Posted by GetMistedMy mom has told me the same thing.Posted by ImpulsvMmhmm

Posted by HellDoradoI always thought there was a connection between skepticism and being a hipster too!
... but this hipster bitch wouldn't shut her mouth trying to impress us all with her skepticism.

Posted by ImpulsvThe Ouija board told me to do it....or maybe the beer.
Thread derailers lol

Posted by SassyKiwiI just think of condoms when I read "use protection ".
I've heard crazy stories about them.
Possessions, spirits stalking you, them being stuck in your home if you open some kind of portal.
Don't say crap like "Prove yourself by flickering the lights."
You can even make a homemade one.
People use white candles or something like that to help deter the bad spirits.
Even my most emo friend didn't want to mess with that shit when I did 😢
But people do say you subconsciously move the pointer without really realizing.
If any of you fools want to try, use protection, okay?

Posted by ImpulsvThat's sounds like every "scary " movie involving ouji boards and dolls lol

Posted by abcdEUCreepy. What the heck is tongues anyways? I mean u know it's supposed to be a language....but could it have been a known language that the people didn't know? I guess, HOW do you know when someone is really speaking in tongues?Posted by christinelovessnickersOne story I was told was that while playing with a board one of the people involved started speaking in tongues and became unresponsive to anyone trying to communicate with him. It freaked everybody out. One of the guys there started punching said person in the forehead and even after getting punched a couple of times, they still continued to speak in tongues. They eventually came around and had no memory of the events that occurred.Posted by abcdEUDo share...

Another story was told to me by a friend whose aunt was into the occult. She had been taught to store the board and planchette in different locations. One morning after having a session with her board the night before and ending everything as she had been taught to do, she woke to find the two together in the same location.
I can't corroborate these stories, but the people involved were adamant that they happened, especially the first one. The guy that related the story to me was really creeped out as he told it.click to expand

Posted by FirstDecanTaurianWomen0428You think so?
Demons are real though.

Posted by starloverMy friend had soemthing similar in her home...that and random things dropping or random sounds.Posted by GetMistedI have spirit activity in my house. My ex who was a non believer got pushed around by them. He saw lights going on and off etc.
No thank you.
I'm not a believer in spirits, angels, demons, etc..
But if they happen to be real, I'd prefer they stay away from me.
No to messing with themclick to expand

Posted by JahliaSo what do you do?Posted by SassyKiwiYou're never supposed to burn a ouija board. It gets rid of the board, but now you're stuck with whatever you've summoned.Posted by ImpulsvI heard the only way to get rid of a ouija board is to burn it.
