What kind of pet do you have? What is their name?

I've noticed that people who name their pets "people" names, see their pet more as one of their children rather than just a pet. Of course, there are some exceptions, but I'm curious about this.

I don't mean that a "pet" is not a member of the family (of course they are) but we have to admit some people "childrenize" their pets.

Do other people's pets count? I have like 5 cats that frequently come over because I pat them and feed them lol and a husky that loves swinging by.

I name them by association.

The black fluffy cat is called toothless (reminds me othat dragon from the movie)
Call the husky Sir cryalot because he whinges all the time.
Call the ginger cat "ranga"(aussie term for a red head)
One I call bort (just because I so happen to be watching simpsons when he came over)
One that seems to scatter everywhere I call him freakout
The last one I just call oi because it doesn't look at me ever and I want its attention.

I have 3 medium sized parrots. 2 amazons and a jardines parrot. Don't really want to share their names, just in case.

2 are a mated pair....and my third is just an angry little jalapeño.

In the past, I've had ferrets, rabbits, fish, hamsters, mice, hermit crabs, cats and dogs. love, love, love animals.
angry little jalapeno will suffice haha.

HOW GOOD ARE FERRETS!

I think I'm going to name my next dog Crackhead. Wouldn't be funny to be calling out crackhead in the neighborhood?

Hahahaha!
lol when I was a kid, we had new neighbors down the street, and one day I hear this white man yelling "Blackie!!! Hey Blackie get over here! Come here, blackie!"

I was terrified a KKK member had moved in (I was only 7 or so) ... until I saw a black labrador retriever dart across the road. 🙂

Lol!!

Blackie, Brownie, Whitie, Blondie, Red, Yellar -- those all used to be common names for animals.

GROSS! He has a mouse!!! I would jump through the ceiling!!!!
My cat carried a mouse into the house. When I freaked out, she dropped it and it took off. I was skeered until we caught it.
I've noticed that some people get a kick out of seeing a rise from me like that but it's really not funny. I'm terrified!!

When I was younger I saw a mouse in our basement as I was walking up the stairs. I literally lost my shit...went running upstairs and jumped onto the counter. My mom said it died of fear.

Haha @ childrenize.

If I hear one more silly bitch go on about how she (usually she) can't leave her dog home alone without being worried...

Bitch, they are animals. They can manage without us humans just fine. Maybe if you didn't "childrenize" your dog, it wouldn't be so effing neurotic that you'd be scared to leave it alone in the first place (because it would fuck your house up).

I have two birds - ring neck parrots called Madame and Houdini.
They are very much an old married couple, who like to keep house together and steal food.
Ratbags! Adorable but a little bratty sometimes and very demanding of time and attention.

Madame can whistle and laugh, talk and chatter or she loves to sing but Houdini is stoic and disapproving of people and shoes. He takes his job as a decorative ornament very seriously.

My dog Lucky was a little bitsa of some sort - fox terrier cross... what a hero he was.

I used to have a tabby cat called Blues...had him from when he was a few weeks old. I named him Blues because when he was a kitten he had bright blue eyes but they turned green when he got older. He was a pisces, I believe. He was my first pet in my home.

Years ago I had a black cat. I named him Silk because his fur was really silky and glossy. He died.

In my family home we had cats; first was Reggae, then Minstral and finally Cookie.
