So I got a new friend request today on Facebook and it's a girl I had problems with like literally 20 years ago

Part of me is like "it was 20 years ago"

The other part is like "why though ?"

Do I just ignore her request? Decline? Or send her a message that's like "I can make my page public if you want to see it that bad"

I have seen her out and about and I don't stank eye her or anything but I don't acknowledge her either so I am unsure why she thinks it would be ok to add me on Facebook ?

Maybe she did it in error while trying to lurk?

We were both 13/14 at the time

She was my best friend's neighbor and she was like obsessively competitive with me and I didn't even know her that well it was so weird.

So when she found out I had a boyfriend (my first boyfriend actually though you could hardly call it that at that age) she made it a point that she was going to "steal him"...and she was very promiscuous, whereas I was a church girl...so they made out or whatever and then she tells me I have to break up with him now ? But I didn't because I don't like to be told what to do... so she harassed me for about a month - calling our house phone repeatedly - spreading rumors about me, etc. it was like meet me at the bus stop at 3pm type of shit

I legit held a grudge against her for YEARS ...

I turn 30 this year so I'm trying not to be petty but like we don't even look at each other why would you try to add me ?

I have ignored people who were rude to me during grade school. I am a firm believer that you shouldn't befriend people all willy-nilly--especially if you post a lot of personal things (like major life updates). I only want people who will genuinely be happy for me to be my friend and see my things.

Granted, I only have 100 friends on FB 😛

In fact I had deactivated until the beginning of this year. & I only re-activated because I couldn't remember my friends married name to send a wedding invite ?
