A nice, flaky crust surrounding a delicious cake interior, in my case lightly cherry and rum flavored, versus someone baking Betty Crocker around a cherry pie picked up in a store.

Not shown, Strawberry shortcake pie (2006. RIP, for they haven't made it since. Sadface.)
Honestly, it's not that hard with these. You make the cake, coat the bottom of a pie shell with whatever filling, and proceed to prep the cake as usual... in a pie crust. + whipped cream and you're done!
However, anyone who lives on the west coast could go buy them, haha.
Yeah, the birthday cake one was kinda bland. It was mostly a promotional bs thing. The others were really good, though. The combination of cake + pie crust is pretty tasty.
what is this?! O_O Piecake? what have I been missing all my life! I learned something new today... and I'm upset us easterners are too slow on the uptake!! Next market trip I'm launching a Pie-cake (or is it Pie Cake... or Piecake?) hunt!
I say west coast because the chain that makes these is mostly a west coast one. I'm sure there are bakeries out that way that may have something similar.
