It does, I've repeatedly picked it apart and explained why-- because it's science fiction!
Last time I checked, religion and race were not science fiction.click to expand

When you choose to display hatred toward race and religion because you think it's science fiction, walking on your toes may be a better option since 12 dead people thought the same as you do.click to expand

I'd like to see Damnata walk through Harlem in New York with that Pope sign in broad daylight....IN AMERICA.

Hope I made my stance clear. You asked for clarification on my mindset. Not trying to persuade you with how I see things, just explaining it better if I managed that at all.

Oh wow, you cannot talk without insulting me?
Cool, I support freedom of speech.
I wrote that in..7 to 10 minutes I think.
I will reply if I am not spinning around the same idea again. If there's anything new for me to reply. If I already replied to something you will ask again, I will bypass it. Just because I can't go in circles again.
If not, I will leave you to the insults. I don't have to save face against anyone btw 😉
Also, I'm not a racist, no matter how adamant you are to make me seem so. This is familliar teritory with spinning out of control and resorting to insults. I've seen it before so..no offense here. Sorry if you can't cope with different perspectives.

Freedom of speech will not end no matter how many of you find any article/cartoon/anything in poor taste. No matter what our opinions are individually, you cannot slam someone for expression because you cannot cope with something that offends your good taste. Your right to have an opinion should never include the right to silence others you don't agree with. There's space for everyone on this planet.

... no good can come out of Muslims moving into secular societies.

For your knowledge, the French have always had the freedom to speak. They didn't fight for it like Americans, or ignored it as a way to live in a peaceful society like Canadians. Since way before your great great great great grandparents were born, immediately someone could hold a quill, French society has not had qualms about saying what they thought.

What you people call freedom of speech here is like breathing to the French. Its not a freedom, its a right.

Wow..a real history buff there ^^eh? What an insult to all frenchmen who sacrificed their lives smh
Jynga...for "your knowledge"..
Right to freedom of speech and expression
Concepts of freedom of speech can be found in early human rights documents.[4] England??s Bill of Rights 1689 granted 'freedom of speech in Parliament' and is still in effect. The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, adopted during the French Revolution in 1789, specifically affirmed freedom of speech as an inalienable right. The Declaration provides for freedom of expression in Article 11, which states that:
The free communication of ideas and opinions is one of the most precious of the rights of man. Every citizen may, accordingly, speak, write, and print with freedom, but shall be responsible for such abuses of this freedom as shall be defined by law.
This logic only holds weight if the French were being held hostage by the Qu'ranic law, which they are NOT so what is your pint?click to expand

@mufasa
Do you think it's possible for everyone to hold themselves accountable for the things the say and draw? Neither do I..
So what do we do? Well, we can create laws that hold them accountable for what they say. To do so however, means that freedom of speech, and the laws that regulate it, would end up in the hands of the powerful. Meaning.. That laws would, or could, be created to only allow the words the powerful see fit to be spoken.
It's a thin line.
@LIB also.. Thoughts?click to expand

Most recent media case on HATE
"The most recent case on hate speech occurred in France during January 2013, a lawsuit between the social media site Twitter and the French Union of Jewish Students (UEFJ). In October of 2012, the UEFJ threatened to sue Twitter as a racially insulting hashtag, #UnBonJuif (translated to mean —a good Jew??) began to gain popularity on French Twitter streams.
