I interpret it as, "leave room for all options but have a little faith that everything will be okay too "

If I thought someone was cheating on me I'd ask - not pull my hair out.
What I am trying to see when they say think positive - do they really mean it and can they teach you how?

Oh. You can teach yourself!!

I'd think the first step is practices relaxation techniques. *Do you do this consciously throughout the day?*

(I ask because in order to catch the cycle of thinking negative you first have to find your center.)

One method is like..

1. One. Close eyes and breathe in a pleasant scent like coffee, or flowers or grass, etc

2. Squeeze and release tense or numb spots on your body.

3. Focus on the present and not anything in the past or future.

4. Close eyes and visualize a scene, go through the details - try this for at least 1 minute - try and stay focused on that alone.

5. Music always. Or working out.

Do you do these or something similar? How do you react in steps to a fear like that??

Mhm. I'll try to explain my take on thinking positive by illustrating it.

A man with a gun goes into a bank and demands money. Once he is given the money, he turns to a customer and asks, "Did you see me rob this bank?"

The man replied, "Yes sir, I did."

The robber then shot him and killed him instantly. He then turned to a couple standing next to him and asked the man, "Did you see me rob this bank?"

The man replied, "No sir, I didn't, but my wife did!"

Moral of the story - When opportunity knocks... MAKE THE MOST OF IT.
Lol that is a funny joke!

So I guess that was it from you?

I've seen examples over the internet. Besides each language/culture has quotes and strategies to think positive in the worst times of life. Plus: a person can cultivate his own positive thoughts according to his own life experiences and observation.

Esto también pasará.

See if I could do ANY of this - I would but I can't! My mind don't relax. It's obsessed and pain is never gone.

I went to gym. Just to try exersize and crying...

I do work with people. It's a temporary solution because while working I am listening to my phone if there is a text or something. I am very tired. I want to take it easy and think positive! I do...

Ah I see. This may be your first step but don't fret- there are many way of doing it.

You mentioned pain. I live by a belief that life is pain. It is supposed to be hard but that's okay. We all have pain and it will never stop. I understand that and embrace it. Still hits me and I still battle it everyday, too.

You also mentioned being easily distracted. Texts, the phone, other people.... These are signs that you have to find your own center. You can and will do it eventually. It takes practice.

A will to want is a big step : )

Do you know the root of your pain? As in, when you start to worry where does your mind go first? When you're with someone enjoying yourself and all of a sudden *that thought* creeps in and disturbs you - what is that thought?? It's more than likely a fear.

Do you know what it is?

"I live by a belief that life is pain. It is supposed to be hard but that's okay."

To me life is pain and joy and whatever else. It differs from time to time. From place to place.

We are shocked by changes others impose on our life. We take things for granted right before we lose them. The opposite of these two behaviors could give us more of good mood. But unfortunately we inherit these from the man kind.

I think of my life as a pie and every "moment" represents a crumb. Meaning whatever I'm going through is just a small crumb even though in that moment it feels like a huge slice and that gives me perspective. Also, I live life hoping and looking forward to what is around the corner because you never know what your future holds. To me that is exciting and motivates me to be positive.

"My mind don't relax. It's obsessed and pain is never gone. "

I have noticed there is a delay between the time you start to think positive ("let go") and you see the result.

For a while brain continues with the old patterns. We have to keep programming it further. One day you notice (all of a sudden) that your mind is using the new patterns.
I appreciate you all trying to help me.

However how do I programm my own brain? Got to be that smart and strong!

I wish...

It's all about perspective and yes you have to work at it. Think about all that you have instead of what you don't. Hope for what you want and that you never know what's in store for you the next day that could completely transform your life in a good way. Think positive, speak positive and live postive.
