The most important part of everything I've been saying. This is what feminism is to ME as an individual. How in the world is this wrong and harmful?
You've taken everything bad you've heard about feminists (which are likely not true feminists) and assumed that I think the same. That I have the same goals. That 'equality' is a mask I'm hiding behind and that there is some immoral way that I want to achieve this or some immoral beliefs that fuels myself as a feminist. No. Let me repeat, I'm a feminist (and egalitarian, since they go hand in hand for me)because I want equality. And because of this, if you tell me you're not a feminist, to me, based on my own definition and reasons for being a feminist, that means you don't want equality.

You're not getting it. Your faction either functions as one whole walking one path of righteousness or you walk in circles with each other. In order for your ideal feminism to succeed there simply cannot be two different kinds of feminists striving for different things.

You see, for every step forward your ideal feminism takes the ugly part of it forces everything back two more. You don't want to accept that you and those "fake" feminists are one in the same. These "fakes" truly believe they are feminists fighting for whats right and thusly they are true blue feminists.

I'm livid that you think I don't want equality simply because I don't consider myself a feminist. If I want to do good why the fuck does it have to be in the name of Feminism? This is absolute bullshit.

No....you don't get it....they really aren't feminists. There are always people who join in groups pretending or thinking they're fighting for the same thing, but they're not. Our goals are fundamentally different. You think those that give feminism a bad name truly want equality? No. They want to bring men down and be above them. You think the actual feminists are going to fight together them on that? No. We are not divided. Feminists work together as a whole. But it's dumb that you think we'd work with others who go against some of our fundamental ideas simply because they claim to be feminists. You can claim to be anything but that doesn't mean you are, especially if you don't have the same goals or beliefs.

Because it's a bel

Because it's a belief. If you believe you are an egalitarian, how are you not also a feminist? Egalitarianism encompasses feminism. Feminism is simply more specific. It does not make sense to me that people are for equality but say "I'm an egalitarian, not a feminist"....when they go hand in hand. Once again, people don't like the stigma around feminism. As I said before, if I had been calling myself an egalitarian instead of a feminist this whole time, would you have said all the things you just have?

I can say that I'm a Republican, believe that I'm Republican support Republicans, but every time I express to you my beliefs, my thoughts are clearly against the Republican agenda. They actually sound libertarian. Am I a Republican?

I can say that I'm a lesbian, believe that I'm a lesbian, but experience no sexual attraction to women despite a long streak of dating them. Instead, I find myself aroused by men. Am I a lesbian? Or vice versa. I say that I'm heterosexual, believe I'm heterosexual, but I have never felt excited or aroused around men...instead, women give me these feelings. Am I heterosexual?

I believe. I even work along side them like I am...for instance, I date girls in the lesbian situation and I date guys in the hetero situation. I support Rebuplicans. But do my beliefs and goals reflect that? Many people would likely even call me out on this and say, 'hey, you're not really a republican. You're not really straight', etc. Am I straight because I think I am, despite my body telling me differently? No, you're just in denial or haven't realized it yet.

That's why a person can believe they're a feminist, say that they're a feminist. Yet, when they say that they want men to experience all the hardships women have or that women should be above men, people should be able to see that they are not feminists, because truly they are not

like i said, keep it pushin', dumbass. until youre ready to face reality and learn what you dont understand, you have you have no place in this conversation. your pathetic attempt to mansplain social inequalities women face with bro-ology is useless and has no legitimate empirical evidence to back it up. take a couple courses in sociology and try again next time.

I wouldn't waste any more energy, dear. He lives in Tenn. I used to live there as well and it's kind of a lost cause to try to explain this to some there.
