Two Officers Shot In Dallas

Watching this right now.
As of around 10p in Dallas, reports of 3-6 officers reported as injured, possibly gravely.
Two shooters, one has been "neutralized" ( the first shooter), the other is being negotiated with.
This wasn't done on impulse.

One officer has died.
10 officers shot, 3 dead 2 in surgery... nobody caught,
3 officers reported dead
I suspect the gunman or gunmen may be white.
Possible scenarios - white supremacists, Anti-cop, anti-big government, also, anti-gun and/or black sympathizers engaged in "martyrdom for the cause".
Definitely a planned operation without an exit.

I've been watching live since before the first shooting. KDFW is broadcasting live.
I thought it was weird, seems like a very planned out event, for an environment that seems
very unpredictable

No, they're just rehashing events and replaying video. They are still considering this an active shooter situation.

I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza twice for business. That's where the police were focusing. Trips me out that I recognized the scene. Had to Google maps to make sure.

Yep. I doubt he's one of the ones they're looking for. But they have to take him in to make sure.

11 shot, 3 dead. Some shot in the back.
One suspect is a burly black man. The pic posted earlier on the thread is him.

OK, I don't think this guy is a suspect.
One man who was interviewed way early in all this. He said there were a couple of guys with him in the front who had rifles and he told them to turn them in to the police when the shooting started so there would be no problems.
The camo suspect is among the protestors.
DFWPD has described him as wearing a rifle strap and what appears to be the butt of a rifle, possibly
an assault type.

It's a chaotic situation. I would expect that anyone having the appearance of a possible threat would be apprehended. A flack jacket would qualify.

His brother and all the friends are saying the AR15 was not loaded and that he gave the gun to the cops...that his face shouldn't' be all over the media, cause he's not a suspect and did nothing wrong.great interview with the brother...
Like I said, they had guns for the protest but when the shots fired, someone told them to hand over the guns jist so that the cops wouldn't think it was them.
Shots were being fired from above.

I hope not. In a chaotic situation, details are muddy. He did the right thing and I would think he'll no longer be considered a person of interest shortly. He was never considered a suspect, only a person of interest.

Obviously you've never seen a war. Or, you didn't pay attention to it.
I can assure you that if they banned the guns, only criminals would have them.
What the ban would really do, is make anyone with a gun, a criminal.
that's not how this country was founded. If it weren't for the gun, there wouldn't be a United States of America. That's a fact.
Also, fighting with knives, swords, spears and bows and arrows are a far more brutal way to kill and die.
And if they banned those too, mankind would resort back to sticks and stones to break the bones.
The reality is this:
Guns don't kill people. People kill people.
The only advantage to owning a gun is a fighting chance against someone else who's got one and.......
who is damned determined to kill you.
In war, on the battlefield, it's kill or be killed. There are no peaceful protests, no black lives matter, no legalize marijuana, no hippie movement.
When the battlefield comes home to roost, you need to ask yourself a question.....
"Do I feel lucky?"
