The issue at play is the militarization of police. They have far to much power.

Instead of addressing that problem for what is- people would rather theorize and focus on race- that of which has been disproved time after time by statistics.

50% more whites were killed at the hands of police then blacks last year. More recently- June 25th when an unarmed 19 year old white male was killed by police in CA

But you never hear about Police killing whites on any type of media--

I remember watching Meet the Press one morning a while ago and there was a black LA City Councilman on who made a very good point about Ferguson Missouri:

Almost 70% of people eligible to vote in Ferguson are black, yet the Mayor was white, the city council was white, the school board was white, and on and on. 30% of the population was essentially making decisions for the other 70% even if that 70% has the power to change things. But they just don't get out and vote.

Dallas news tonight highlighted the stories of those killed in the shooting. One was a father of two girls who will grow up without their father's influence. One was a newlywed. One was engaged. One with young children. Etc.

So many other lives ruined as a domino effect.

Very sad.

I feel so bad for the wives, fiances, children, mothers, fathers, etc of those who were taken.
