What do you think about life after death? Does this topic scare you?
My own death scares me a lot.
That stuff used to scare me when I was younger but now I just avoid thinking about it and just believe in people doing their best to be a good person who don't harm others. Apparently that alone is hard enough for a lot of people.
I think about death every once in a while but I try to brush it off cus I don't want that burden of depression in my life. I suppose being dead feels lifeless. There are lots of times where I be feeling so sluggish like I be wanting to fall and it literally feels like I'm a walking zombie. I would only guess that's how being dead feels like.
Jeebus will be judging you harshly on the premarital sex (yes anal counts Christians) and the amount of bacon and shrimps you ate. Be ready and gird thine loins for hell is hawt.

There is no soul. There is no life after death.
The soul, like deities and like religion, is a human invention. A way to describe and control the unknown and make it more palatable and less scary.
Do you remember what it felt like before you were born? Nope me either. Death will be similar I imagine.
Religion, if it connects you to your culture or brings a sense of peace, serves a purpose. But I hope you live for the now not live for an afterlife that doesn't exist.

No one knows what happens when we die. Whole industries (organized religion) are built on playing on that fear. Don't trust those people that almost died and come back and tell us they saw grandma and Fluffy at the gates of heaven. When your body thinks it's dying, it secretes a chemical that causes you to hallucinate so you won't feel pain.
One thing we do know though is that there is some conscious awareness from your Spirit/Soul (at least momentarily). This is known from people that have watched themselves being operated on before they're sucked back in..similar to astral projection. Where you go or what happens after that is anyone's guess. I like to think we just exist on a different frequency/dimension (like stations on the radio) that's inaccessible to this one due to being on a different wavelength.

I’ve had so much proof....
I see life as hitting the jackpot, this is why I want to make the most of it. I'm convinced I will be alive more than once, considering an unlimited number of eons and universes...just don't know what "I" would be.
Don't expect to have any bodily-connected sense after I'm dead (or in between lives). However, I could entertain some philosophy or wishful thinking about a disembodied consciousness messing around on earth, without being able to interact with matter (which in itself sounds like torture!)
The latter mainly because of the strange things happening hours-days after my father's death....from flashes of light through the corner of my eye, to scratching noises every night in his room.... to an oven rack vibrating laud in the cold, unused oven, for no reason whatsoever...

i´m only glad that - unlike our birthdays - we don´t know when our final day will arrive.

Death gives Life more meaning and value. Sometimes even peace.
It's inevitable as well. So it would make more sense to make this time count then worry about what comes after death.

well, would it be fair to say, that is not objective, palpable proof; but moreso ...a vibe, you filling in the void of let´s say, general statements? there are very good "people" readers out there ....they deduce and conclude a lot by what their clients present to them - spoken or unspoken. i am sure many find comfort in these sort of circles. as long as no harm is done, wonderful.

It doesn't scare me. Death is something we know will happen. Life itself is much more terrifying, and the idea if life after death seems nothing more then a recurring cycle. Except I can't remember any type of past life, so even if there is a next life it doesn't matter really. I wont remember this conversation, or that I ever even thought about any of this in the first place. As for heaven and hell I don't really believe it's a place our spirits go. At best we will become energy that will disperse into the universe, and maybe that holds its own type of existence we don't realize or understand. I do believe there are lifeforms, or even entities out in the universe greater then we can even fathom. We likely will never be magically teleported to them upon death though. Simply because we are quite insignificant compared to the universe. That is not to say we are insignificant in our own little way as humans, because we are quite special imo. I just don't believe there is a God or heaven other then the universe itself waiting with open arms for our arrival. Why would there be?
