If your house was on fire? You have maybe a minute or so before you'd have to be out, what would you take with you?

I'm watching the movie "Leap Year" this morning and he asks that question to the chick and it got me thinking. I'm curious what ya'll would save.
I have a drawer where are my phone, credit cards, drivers licence and papers, flash memory, cash?i would take that

I wouldn't have time to grab any belongings because I'd be trying to herd my pets out. I'm sure the cats would run from me and hide, and the dogs would probably start fighting or something.
Yeah, pets can be a handful huh. My cat likes to hide too but I'd be dead set on finding him.
I understand. I'd be the idiot who dies in the fire trying to save her pets.

Yeah. It's an interesting thing to think about but I suppose you wouldn't ever really know until it happens and your flight or fight instincts kick in.

But pets are family and it'd be hard to just leave them. I'm getting sad talking about this...lol

I have a carrier for each cat, set up for just such a situation. I work at a shelter, so I have to be prepared. But stupid cats hide when they're scared. SMH

Aww a shelter, our Felix is from the local shelter - such a lovebug!

That's a good idea though!

No no. The fire must've been detected by fire alarm (which I have installed) and I would look for the source and try to put it out with all my might preventing bigger flame. Therefore, house burning down can be prevented.

If the house is completely burning all the way through then i must have not been at home. So there's nothing to take from the house.

😛

Lol. 😛

Well let's say the fire alarm didn't go off - faulty or the batteries died or whatevs. And you woke up from a dead sleep to flames everywhere. What would you take?
