It's rained here once, this year so far...and it's always some huge storm blowing in dust first then rain and hail breaking down trees, pulling shingles off roofs and throwing palm fronds everwhere.

Then...nothing... for months

wow. how do you cope? i could never!!! do you have a swimming pool at least?

Oh yeah 😄 That's usually where the palm fronds end up

Sometimes the pool water gets too hot, if you can believe it. But it's nice during the humid days 🙂

lol! hot and hotter. come visit dubai in the main season.....60 degrees ohhh dear god...NO! they have hop on/hop off busses from what i saw and it takes you to the "old" part of the city where you have those traditional bazars and whatnot - and i am sure is very pretty - all i really saw were buildings in all variations of beige ....and expensive cars and palm trees lol. i was never happier to get on a plane. ohhh and the airport - only male staff with those white robes and turbans.

Somehow I like the idea of the male only turbanned and robed airport staff....hopefully some were pleasant to look at 😄

I was reading an article about some of the airport security here in the States couldn't recognize or comprehend that Washington, DC and the District of Columbia is the same...and people with a drivers license from the District of Columbia were treated with suspicion.
