From what I've seen, most of the folks here don't believe in MLK's message anymore.
This is from the Southern Poverty Law Center:

Same here. We have the AWB who believe white people are "God's children" or whatever delusional shit they call themselves lol. I'm Asian. Growing up, I went to a school with a pretty diverse student body.
And I noticed the same thing, time and time again:
Most of us Asians focused and worked hard. White people and Latinos usually worked pretty hard (though a lot of my Latino friends had to work after school and generally help their families, so they sometimes were too overtaxed to focus 100% on school.)
Many of the black kids were super dedicated to success, but I'd estimate that over half of them just didn't give a shit. They were always the ones disrupting class, defying authority, skipping class, fighting or just not doing their work. They just didn't care about doing well in school. They just wanted to do their own thing.
Well that has consequences. You end up less likely to go to college, and if you keep that careless attitude, you can't expect to get very far regardless.
This is why they're not on "top" in society.
And that's even with the many breaks they're given. In uni admissions, I'm penalized for being Asian, but other minorities are cut extra slack.
I had to get a 1570/1600 SAT score to compete with a white person's 1400, or a black person's 1300. (Estimations, though if necessary I can dig up the official differences).
So don't even say that they don't have the opportun

I read about that-- I think it was the Unz study, or this book, one.
The info was similar.
"If all other credentials are equal, Asian-Americans need to score 140 points more than whites, 270 points higher than Hispanics, and 450 points above African-Americans out of a maximum 1600 on the math and reading SAT to have the same chance of admission to a private college, according to —No Longer Separate, Not Yet Equal,?? a 2009 book co-written by Princeton sociologist Thomas Espenshade."
