Thunder. My son even tries to calm me down by saying it's the angels bowling in heaven. Apparently his teacher told them that after a few of them were frightened during a thunderstorm in class.
I would think everyone would be scared of sharks ... lol I am!

Because I hear scary stories from people I know, on the news, etc...people being striked by lightning. This gem girl told me how it hisses as it enters a room. It hit her tv.

My mom used to live out in "the country" and every now and then you would see one creeping across the ceiling.

I was swimming in her pool once, and leaned over the side to pet the cat and there was a scorpion on the side wall of the pool-- stung me a few times, and I was OMG I'M GONNA DIE (I was about 14), lololol.
I didn't, of course-- tobacco pulls the venom right out-- and I think it has to actually get in your bloodstream to harm you.
But yeah-- they're just creepy looking. o.O

Wow that is scary. I watched a documentary once, it was about snakes. They were talking about the life of this guy who was a snake charmer or whatever. One of his most dangerous snakes bit him on the hand & he got bloated. The vernom turned his muscles, etc into mush or something like that. He died. That made me respect snakes. I'm not really scared of them per se because where I grew up there were lots of them. The area was rocky & the houses were new, so they made the homes their home. One time my step-father found one in his morning shoes. He put in a foot one morning & it stepped on something soft. LOL he screamed. He is very afraid of snakes so he hated the neighbourhood with passion.
Another one of my fears is bats. I blame my tv addiction lol. I saw a show about bats in Venezuela. They crawled in as people were fast asleep to bite them. The houses were not like normal houses because they were open, giving the bats easy access. Apparently their bite causes a fatal infection when not treated quickly. There we no clinics in that area so many died. I made sure to close my windows at night after watching that. Creepy.
I hate rats. New York is infested with little shitty things Dead on the sidewalks, creeping about on the railway tracks, recently my dog killed one and I took him straight to the vet, eww now time for a check-up!

My parents didn't want me to watch stuff like that...but I did lol. I remember being TERRIFIED when I saw that movie. Wow. I didn't think it affected me that much, but looking back...hmmm.

Really big horses scare me??_.they're unpredictable and if I get nervous they get nervous then we both get nervous nobody knows whats gonna happen??_..I actually had a dream last night I was in bed and horse was trying to bite me lol??_..My auntie was stomped by her horse and she became a paraplegic so I'm quite wary of them

EXACTLY LIKE THIS..for me too. I can be in a pool and if the water is murky and I cannot see the bottom of the pool I am sure a shark is underneath me. I still swim because I love it.
I really really don't lie rodents. Not a fear but they disgust me.
-Spiders
-sharks...If I was ever stranded in the ocean..I cant even, it truly freaks me out!
-When I hear planes going over my apt...I get that "omg I hope its not crashing into my apt"
-Being stuck under/on a bridge in traffic...I fear being crushed or it collapsing.
-Being in a bad car accident

-small spaces...I'm not claustrophobic per say, but I cant stay in small spaces for long before I start to freak out...that includes large crowds, its too overwhelming and I need to get outta there asap!
-panic attacks....horrible, horrible feeling and I hope I never experience another one (which im sure I will 😢 )
-me dying in my sleep or being extremely sick and bed ridden and my dog eating my face off
-being alone...not in the sense of being surrounded by people but in the sense that what if something happens to me (like passing out all the sudden, or near the brink of death) and no one is around to help.

TBH full-sized horses ARE terrifying. I've never had the same fright toward cows, being that in my experience, they are placid animals.
Horses, although regal & pretty from a safe distance, can become rowdy & destructive. My b/f thinks its ridiculous that I'm scared since his extended family owns a few & he's been comfortable around them since childhood. NOT ME.click to expand

When I was in my early 20's, I rented a little house that was on the same land as a family that had a herd of cows that roamed the property.
I was leaving for work one morning when they surrounded my car and (I thought) they were headed toward me.
I was so embarrassed calling work, explaining why I was going to be late.
I was teased mercilessly. 😄
But the owner said I did the right thing, going back in.

seriously serious arachnophobe here. any size spider within my visual range will freak me the eff out. and by "freak out," i mean??_ hyperventilate, scream bloody murder, sob and climb on top of things in an uncontrolled way. and i don't realize that i've done any of those things until i've calmed down.

-cockroaches- they really gross me out. I can't stand the crunch sound when people step on them. It's unnerving. It's the whole crunch, pop, and green guts on the floor. Yuck! I'll spray them to death though while I chase them around the house screaming. I don't really like spiders either. Most other bugs I'm fine with.
-death- wondering when or how and what next or is that it...
-heights- I'm okay with being in an airplane, helicopter, or a tall building. I've done zip lining and parasailing but I will be shaking, sweating, and holding on for dear life if I have to go to the third step of a ladder. I have to mentally prepare myself before changing a lightbulb.
-old age- being in a nursing home or unable to take care of myself is a scary thought. I see so many elderly that get treated so poorly by others and are taken advantage of. It's sad.

Not being able to breathe. Understandable I guess, since I suffer from panic attacks, plus got stuck under a float in a swimming pool as a kid and nearly drowned. So no choking in the bedroom for me. Just no.

I got vertigo underwater once-- kept swimming sideways trying to get to the surface-- but I would have floated up eventually.
Still, scary feeling.
