Sometimes I really want to slap a bitch. Like I'd love to pull back and in one, swift, HARD blow, fuck something up other than what's in her middle. I listen to the laments of friends, read articles and posts, listen to music about the same old repetitive shit and ultimately what it boils down to is that women are dumb as fuck.

I used to be dumb as fuck too but now I'm in dumbfuck recovery. I know what it's like to spend years with the same sorry ass fucker and love him "in spite of," "because of" and out of a belief that you are "destined to."

If only, if only one of my good friends would domestically abused my ass just once, maybe that would've snapped me out of it. I'm not talking full-on abuse...just a hard "love tap." After all, that's what he does right? Or maybe just yelled at to the point that I "understand." I mean, that's what he does right?

It just seems as if we're collectively putting up with more and more bullshit. The level of passivity, acceptance, self-degredation seems far more pungent now than it ever was in my youth. Why are we justifying bad behavior? Do we all have daddy issues. Maybe that's why so many of us enjoy being physically, emotionally and verbally spanked?

It took a while but I'm starting to realize via Catfish that love is easy. It's the purest, simplest emotion and yet we complicate it with so much shit. It's nice to never, ever wonder. To walk with confidence and to rest assured that no matter that you're in it together.

New Years is supposed to mark a rebirth so for those of you who are stuck, who are left waiting, wondering, hurt, bruised and battered, may I ask you a question?
