Depends. I notice a lot of North Americanized people are a bit less developed then ethnic people. Not physically but mentally. Like in my family people got married super young and lived a very adult life while here in North America 29 year olds are living with their parents and playing video games. So it could be a cultural thing too... I know when I was 16 I was ready for that kind of relationship and was interested in men way older than me so... Depends on the person I guess.Yes, different cultures for different folks... but as I've repeated she is quite young in age and mentally, living at home, coming out of a "sheltered" high school... I can't get into the stuff he's got her hooked with but it's not a good story for her in the long run.
Then yes. Definitely tell the parents. Heck, if you don't want to look like the bad guy then just report the relationship to the police and ask to stay anonymous.

Even though in the uk the legal age is 16 I still think that's far too much of a gap and wouldn't be happy about it.

My uncle and aunt met and started dating when she was 16, and he was almost 30. They fell in love. They've been married over 20 years. It CAN happen, but the OP feels worried and that the 30-year-old is using the 16-year-old, so that makes it sketchy. Also, my aunt was an unusually mature 16-year-old.I think the OP should pressure the original leak to talk to the girl if nothing else.

Some countries protect their minors... that sucks for you
I personally wouldn't tell them.
What people choose to do is completely up to them. This day and age I don't view 16 year olds as children anymore. Not compared to when I was 16 but even back then I'm considered an adult, I guess I was more naive when it comes to the real life stuff.
If he IS just using her for sex as most tend to jump to then maybe... just maybe I might but then again its their body and what they want to do with it. I'd sooner talk to the girl rather than her mother.
And the whole minor thing, I'm not sure APC.
European countries, UK, Australia etc, out legal age is much younger than that of the States. I'll legal age to buy alcohol is 18 but legal consent is 15.
I was 16 and my GF at the time was 15, looking back yeah we were definitely pretty damn young but I think it just comes to show what is acceptable in different cultures.

But hey all you have to think about is when you were 16 and what you were exposed to compared to what is readily available to the teens these days.

Omg at 16 I knew nothing. I probably tried to seduce an older guy or two... but they knew better than to entertain that thought, thankfully. It doesn't matter what you're exposed to, it doesn't speed up the process of maturing.

I'll be honest, there are some retarded 30 year olds out there. Given my field of work I also know how vulnerable teens can be but I've also seen the opposite in effect, albeit not 16 but 18 manipulating a 30 year old man.

One of the most progressive countries in the world, if not the most. Haven't noticed any trends of 30 y.o. dating 15 y.o. despite it
