The Pianist (2002)
Last movie I watched was:
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (2014) Loved it! Though kinda disappointed it ended at a good part...that's cuase there's a 4th movie (part II) but still.
-V/H/S : good as a shock/joke movie, not very good as an horror movie
-the prince and the pauper(a.k.a. crossed swords)(1977) : very good surprise an excellent swashbuckler movie from 1977.
-The assassination bureau (1969) : I watched it only for diana Rigg, a bit boring.
-robocop(2014) : pointless and boring remake
-snow Piercer : I don't like korean movies, they lack the soul from japanese or chinese movies and are the equivalent of fast-food cinema. This is another example.
-anguish(1987) : a Giallo from spain, very interesting meta elements.
-pandorum : it looks like an action movie made in the 90s, not bad but not very original either
-dredd (2012) : not bad as an action movie but the political/social commentary is completely lost and that fact is more scary than the content of the movie itself
-A history of violence : very good from a cinematographical point of view, not everybody will like this movie but it's interesting if you like to study cronenberg's style
-The assassination of Jessie james etc : interesting movie, good cinematography and the main actor is rather good
-Gangster squad : a mish mash of several famous preexisting movies, but without the talent unfortunately. Not bad as an action movie, but when compared to the movies it copies, it's not very good.
A history of violence is very good.My last was Hercules with Dawayne Johnson interesting new take on the myth. Not a bad show.

So November is for Sagittarius, I see.

Watching Imitation Game later tonight.
This film hurts.
Scent of a Woman, 1992
"While fairly predictable and unoriginal, it is nevertheless entertaining."
Anyone else see? I loved it. Woody Allen meets Twilight Zone.
These hipster filmmakers, I tell ya....
anurag kashyap's NO SMOKING!
was amazingly entertaining!
Saint Seiya 3D
Was pretty good. A good retelling of this classic astrology-related anime.
Dracula Untold a good movie and an interesting take on the Vlad Dracula legend, hero of Wallachia folk hero of Romania.
The name sounds familiar, is it related to this guy who sucked on blood or some other crazy shit like that?
I'm doing this more for myself to keep track of all the crap I watch...
BAD :
the invasion(2007): wow, this was really bad
burt wonderstone : steve carell still not funny
AVERAGE :
witness(1985):Ambitious, almost pretentious, and not really that great, didn't age very well.
the wolverine(2013): well made but the marvel movies are really getting redundant
howard's end: another piece of aristocracy indoctrination from the uk, rather pointless
cyborg(1989): One of the early Van-Damme movies that started a whole generation of straigth to DVD karate crap, nothing good about it, but the 80s post-apocalyptic settings are so retro and baroque, it becomes art.
copland
theatre of blood(1973): watched it for diana rigg, slightly above the average britsploitation
GOOD :
lock-out:Totally assumed cheesyness and Joseph gilgun
swordsmen (a.k.a wuxia) (2011): my favorite of the list. Modern chinese kung fu movies have become extremely boring, but this movie manages to remain interesting by toning down the fights and being rather well acted. Among my top 5 wuxia movies (IMDB page)
The Third Man
with Orson Welles

You asking about Vlad? He was a butcher, monster, and mass murderer. A patroit that loved his country so much that he did what it took to keep the Turks and Saxons from it. He was known as The Impaler for his favorite way to kill enemy prisoners.
New Avengers feedback would be fantastic (without spoilers!!)
idiotizing shit for plebs
MAD MAX 2:
Damn that movie delivered the same raw impact than when I saw it 30 years ago.
No way they could pull off a movie like that nowadays.
BAD
Apollo 18 : what a fucking waste of time
straw dogs(1971) : your typical 1970s' violence porn. Fuck those baby boomers.
the bay : Wow, this is the worst "found footage" I've seen so far, I found it difficult to focus for even 30 seconds on the movie. Even worse than Blair witch 2.
AVERAGE:
The other guys : I was expecting to be disappointed by some mainstream dreg, but it was okay. Satisfyingly entertaining.
In bruges : Completely overhyped, just as I suspected. I really don't get what's the attract of the brit-gangster genre.
GOOD
After Dark, My Sweet : interesting product of the early 90s.
Django : the plot could have used some subtelty and the gunfighting parts are less briliant than in the spaghetti western that inspired it, but it's saved by some great show-stealing supporting actors.
Miller's crossing : a good mix of realism and cartoony 1920s setting for this cohen movie
Update last movie watched was 1- Jurassic World, 2- Insidious 3, and the new Mad Max...
Relatos salvajes (Wild tales).
I can recommend this film to everyone. Really good.

Godzilla (the latest one with malcolm's dad):
It was like watching someone playing a fucking videogame.
americlap bro spends the whole movie pointing a gun at the world, keeps accidentally stumbling in the middle of the most dramatic events and surviving miraculously, encountring a few NPCs on the way. All punctuated by cinematics of monsters that never actualy interact with the characters.
Wife keeps waiting for him while making scared faces, and greets him at the end.
Millenials will love this.
Jumanji and 50 shades of grey
Terminator Genysis:
while not as bad as one could expect, it's still pretty futile.
But worst, how did we go from this:
to this :
jeezuz, hollywood , get your shit straight
Ant Man
I found it pretty good. Slow to start but the action is good and it's legitimately fun. It's more fun than it is boring, I can't say that much for any of the avenger/iron man movies.
Just before the movie, I saw a trailer for the star wars movie and all I could think of is "why?". It's sad, it's probably going to be worse than the prequels, because despite being bad, the prequels were at least trying to tell a new story, not just rehashing nostalgia like this one
The Martian
Wow, this was fucking boring.
I think even Mission To Mars and Red Planet were more interesting than this one, and these are not good movies by any mean.
Don't believe the hype

Saw it last night. I'm a big nerd so I thought it was great. Didn't feel like it dragged on forever and the tech was spot on.
Plus Sean Bean didn't die.

I'm a big nerd
And what do you think I am?
It was trying to be serious but most of the plot twists were ridiculous, and it failed to deliver any good cinematographic poetry
Everafter and Batman Returns.
Image that 😄
Movies I watched in the last few months:
-Dark skies : totally lame
-Dracula Untold : very redundant dracushit
-43 ronins : good for a kid maybe
-world's end : another movie where simon pegg spends the whole movie running and looking like an idiot
-The phantom(1996) : I think it missed a little something to make this a good movie, but it's ultimately rather bad. Except that there is a pretty cool nature panorama in the last 5 minutes of the movie, it's really pretty, and doesn't redeem the movie, but it makes you regret the whole movie didn't choose a more artistic direction.
-rocketeer : a couple notches above the phantom but still not a classic
-Prince avalanche : this movie is so indie it shits 1980s raybans
-Ballroom dancing : a weird australian version of a 1980s dance movie, some good dancing if you're into this.
-Time bandits: one of the rare monty python movies that isn't ruined by 1970s vulgarity, not bad
-the conversation(1974): interesting thriller from the 70s
SEAN BEAN .. awe $ ome
TOTAL RECALL 2012:
What a fucking waste of time and money this film is. It references the 1990 movie more than the book but it manages to be as a boring as a syfy B movie.
Why did they have to shoot this shit? the new setting doesn't even make any kind of sense.
THE ANOMALY:
this movie got a lot of bad criticism and I don't really know why. The movie exploits a gimmick but it does it pretty well and manages to be captivating all the way to the end.
I am pretty jaded when it comes to sci fi stories and yet I did enjoy the movie without any second thoughts.
There are some problems, like the fact the the movie has too many scenes of hand to hand combat and the actors really suck at it, an the happy ending scene feels very forced, but I'd still recommend it.
A few pretty awesome slow-burn NOIR/ neo-noir favorites* x .. RIP Brittany Murphy
Drive ~ Ryan Gosling
Fury. Getting ready to fire up Prometheus .
When Eight Bells Toll
a 1971 british spy movie with good atmosphere and cinematography, an interesting curiosity

Dark touch(2013):
Very creepy movie, they went for the extra creepy there.
There was some potential, unfortunately the end is very lacking and the tension peters out in the last fe minutes without any bang.
The first half of the movie was interesting with some memorable shots.
The Intern.. great movie.
Empire State:
really enjoyed it
The Scorch Trails!! Love it!! I'm glad I didn't read the book because I've heard that it wasn't that great a movie for the book readers because it went off track. But I love the series. The movies always keep me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait for The Death Cure
'the Irrational Man' by Woody Allen

That's a great one, actually!
Cloverfield lane
Found it devoid of any interest. It was not as bad as the prequel (it would have been difficult), but as meaningless.
They pretty much took the tim robbins sequence from "War of the world" and made a movie with it.
Skyline was better (and skyline was not a very good movie)

'Miss Meadows' (2014)
Plot-wise think 'Boondock Saints' in a suburban setting... and with a chick. Didn't care much for the plot tbh, but it's so well-crafted and odd it felt like a fresh breeze there for a while. Couldn't believe some of my senses but Katie Holmes can not only act, but carry a whole film!
